과목 개요 및 학습 목표 Course Description and Objectives


◦This course is designed for those who have LIMITED knowledge of Korean and is
designed to provide basic speaking skills in Korean. By the end of this course,
students will be able to 1) greet each other and introduce themselves. 2) carry out
conversations about topics relating to everyday life. 3) deliver a very simple
informative speech about themselves. 4) use some formulaic expressions naturally
and fluently.
◦Students will often be asked to make a pair or a small group in which they may
interact with each other verbally. Each student should cooperate and respect other
class members in order to make the best of their learning experience. This course is
NOT a teacher-fronted class, but a student-led class. Therefore, active participation
by students is required in the class.

평가 Evaluation
◦The final grade will be determined by your performance on the following categories.
- Students must attend at least 2/3 of classes to receive a
passing grade. Otherwise, ‘F’ grade will be given.
◦Attendance 10%
- Lateness(until 30 minutes after class starts): -0.5point / time
- Absence(after 30 minutes after class starts): -1ponit / time

◦Participation & Attitude 10%


◦Midterm Exam 30% - Oral interview

◦Final Exam 30% - Oral interview

◦Assignments 20% - 5 assignments will be given.

- The oral interviews will be online, so you will take them in your own space.
- Students are only allowed to take the exam on a fixed date.
- In case of exam cheating and proxy attendance, it will be F regardless of grades.
※ The proportion of the categories can be adjusted according to learning environment. (e.g. Online / Offline)
