Course Description

The article 25-A of constitution of Pakistan obligates the state to provide free and compulsory
quality education to children of the age group 5 to 16 years. ‘The state shall provide free and compulsory
education to all children of the age of five to sixteen years in such a manner as may be determined by law.
Quality Education largely depends upon the quality of Teacher besides other factors so Teacher Training
institutions have to prepare perspective teachers in this national context what the teacher displays in the
classroom depends upon his insight and skills he possesses in teaching methodology, for this purpose this
course has been designed.

Learning Outcomes: -

After Completion of this course students will be able to:


1. Explain the basic concepts of teaching
2. Describe the importance and types of teacher planning
3. Practice different teaching methods in classroom.
4. Organize classroom discussion and demonstrate its appropriate use.
5. Apply various techniques to motivate students.
6. Select appropriate audio visual aids in classroom teaching.
7. Prepare lesson plans according to individuals and group Needs.
8. Apply teaching skills on in identifying learning difficulties in the classroom.

Mid-Term (Exam): 30%
Final-Term (Exam): 70%
