Dexcom saved Lyla’s life last night. Its alarms got me up. She
was out cold. I woke her and gave her soda. Still low. More soda.
Still low. Spoonfuls of sugar. Finally, movement! We stayed up
together for nearly an hour like this and she barely even came
back into range. That tells me she wasn’t just low. She would
have died. I’m in tears feeling how close I came to losing my little
girl… but those are tears of gratitude rather than mourning
because of that amazing little device. Words are utterly
inadequate but thank you to everyone at Dexcom for keeping my
daughter alive.”

*The American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommendations receive a rating of A, B, C, or E depending on the quality and strength of the evidence to support their recommendations. Evidence level A has clear evidence from
well-conducted, generalizable, randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that are adequately powered. Evidence level B has supportive evidence from well-conducted cohort studies. Evidence level C has supportive evidence from poorly
controlled or uncontrolled studies. Evidence Level E is from expert consensus or clinical experience. 4

Accuracy & MARD
Accuracy
You may wonder why the Dexcom G7 reading
doesn’t match the reading provided by a blood
glucose (BG) meter.
What is Mean Absolute Relative Difference (MARD)?
MARD is the average percent difference of the CGM reading compared to the lab result. The lower the
MARD, the more accurate the device. Most BG meters and Dexcom G7, have on average, MARDs
under 10%.

reading and lab result standard” or YSI)
