Adjectives are words that describe nouns
Example : Beautiful lady

These are three degree of comparison of adjective

DEGREES OF COMPARISON OF ADJECTIVES
Positive Degree - It simply describes a noun ( menyatakan
kesamaan / perbandingan setara
the example :
The coffee is hot As + adjective + as
She is as beautiful as her mother
This book as thick as my book
This book as thick as my book
DEGREES OF COMPARISON OF
ADJECTIVES
Comparative Degree - It compare 2 nouns to show which
has a lesser or greater degree. We always use the word
"then" after the adjective
THERE ARE THE RULES IN FORMING THE
COMPARATIVE DEGREE OF ADJECTIVE
Adding -er to 1 syllable adjectives
Example
Tall - taller, Big - Bigger
Cute - Cuter, dark - darker
Soft - softer, Low - lower

Changing Y to i and adding -er for adjectives ending Y
Example
Lovely - lovelier , Heavy - heavier
Funny - funnier , Happy - happier
Crispy - crispier , sunny - sunnier

Adding the word "More" before an adjective
Example
Polite - more polite
Delicious - more delicious
Confident - more confident
Energetic - more energetik
DEGREES OF COMPARISON OF
ADJECTIVES
Superlative Degree - This compares more than
two nouns to show which has the greatest or least
degree. We always use the word "The before the
adjective
There are rules in forming the superlative
degree of adjectives :
Adding -est 1 syllabel adjectives
Example :
Tall - tallest , Big - biggest
Cute - Cutest , Dark - darkest
Soft - Softest , Low - lowest
There are also irregular adjectives which
do not follow any of the given rules.
Example :
good - better - best
bad - Worse - worst
Many - more - most
Little - less - least
