A. PROGRAM/PROJECT PROFILE

PROGRAM TITLE CLUSTER-BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR TEACHERS

In-Service Training aims to continually develop, enhance, and improve the competency
of teachers. This training has been given importance by DepEd since teachers are the frontliners in the
implementation of the DepEd’s program and projects. Therefore, the need to improve teachers’
capabilities and skills is essential.
In reference to DepEd School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2023-2024,
schools are urged to adhere to the school calendar to comply with the required number of school days
and the activities stated on it. One of it includes the Five-Day Mid-Year Break which two days shall
RATIONALE be spent in evaluating the school’s progress in the implementation of the educational programs,
projects, and activities, as well as in reviewing the performance of teachers and the school staff to
address concerns through cooperative effort. The three days of it shall be spent for the conduct of the
school-based INSET activities for teachers continued professional development and the preparation of
their Instructional Materials.
Tulungatung Elementary School will conduct the Cluster-Based In-Service Training for
Teachers on January 24-26 and mid-year review on January 29- January 30, 2024 at Tulungatung
Elementary School.
PROGRAM OUTCOME INSET aims to
1. Apply knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas. (PPST 1.1.2)
2. Used a range of teaching strategies that enhance learner achievement in literacy and
numeracy skills.
(PPST 1.4.2)
3. Applied a range of teaching strategies to develop critical and creative thinking, as well as
other higher
order thinking skills. (PPST 1.5.2)
4. Used differentiated, developmentally appropriate learning experiences to address
learners’ gender,
needs, strengths, interests, and experiences. (PPST 3.1.2)
5. Planned, managed, and implemented developmentally sequenced teaching and learning
processes to
meet curriculum requirements and varied teaching contexts. (PPST 4.1.2)
6. Selected, developed, organized, and used appropriate teaching and learning resources,
including ICT,
to address learning goals. (PPST 4.5.2)
7. Monitored and evaluated learner progress and achievement using learner attainment
data. (PPST 5.2.2)
As major outputs, the activity of the program is expected to:
• Developed lesson plans by teachers that incorporate the new skills, strategies, or content
knowledge gained during the training.
• Action plans outlining how teachers will integrate what they learned during the training
MAJOR FINAL OUTPUT into their ongoing practice, including specific goals and timelines for implementation.
• Reflective journals in which teachers document their experiences, challenges, and
successes in applying new learning to their teaching practice.
• Assessment data demonstrating the impact of the training outcomes, such as pre- and
post-assessments.
• To do demonstration teaching applying the topics learned during the In service training
