InterNZ: An ENZ Virtual Internships Initiative for undergraduate
students from India
Education New Zealand invites Indian students pursuing undergraduate programmes for an
opportunity to work with New Zealand and multinational organizations on real world
problems as part of InterNZ, a 3-week virtual internship programme. You will be supported
by interactive learning content and dedicated mentors.
What is InterNZ?
InterNZ, is a 3-week virtual internship programme with around 10-15 hours of work per
week, designed to accelerate your professional growth. The internship dates are 2nd to 20th
September 2024. However, selected interns will be required to be part of the onboarding
process and attend induction sessions ahead of the programme.
You'll be working in a team of five to six students to tackle a business challenge for a New
Zealand based employer. Each team will be provided with a dedicated mentor, to coach and
support you throughout the programme.
The programme is managed by Talent Solutions, an early talent specialist company and it
includes an online induction and briefing session to get to know your team and the project
you will be working on together.
Everything can be accessed virtually through the online platform provided by Talent
Solutions where you can connect with your team, access and submit documents, as well as
receive feedback from your mentor. At the end, you will get the opportunity to present your
findings.
During this virtual internship, you will:
● Understand what it is like to work in the NZ business context
● Receive professional mentoring and training
● Build your professional profile and grow your network
● Gain relevant NZ work experience to add to your CV

You will be assigned to a team of 5-6 students, based on your study background. Areas of
internships include engineering, business/management, and computer science/technology
