III. ESSAY
1. Endowed with the gift of speech, man has been made special by his Creator. Unlike
the lower form of animals, he has been given the mechanism that makes him
capable of producing sound and speech. With that, EXPLAIN how respiratory
parts and resonating parts help in producing speech sound. (20 pts.)
2. Phrasing or juncture is a very important factor in delivering a speech or a
sentence. Meanings may vary when juncture is placed at a wrong position. It can
either be a root to a conflict or can improve and emphasize the important points in
something said or written. Knowing the importance of phrasing, WRITE a
paragraph (minimum of 10 sentences) about FAMILY and PLACE the proper
phrasing of the sentences. (15 pts.)
