Prayer to St. Jonh Bosco (1)

Father and teacher of youth, you were always

docile to the Spirit yet were deeply aware of what
the young were facing in your day. We too want to
be like you signs of God's special love for the
young and the needy.
Help us understand as you did that only in Jesus
and in His Gospel can both we and the young in
our care find true meaning in our lives.
May our response be generous to the gift God has
given us of a Salesian vocation, so that, like you,
we may help build here on earth a true cilivization
of love.
Obtain for us the grace of perseverance, so that,
guided by Mary Help of Christians, and living in the
spirit of the beatitudes we may all meet to enjoy
together eternal happiness with God. Amen.

The Lord Jesus, so that we may discover in him,

source of true happiness.
Help us to respond with generosity to the vocation
we have received from God, so that in daily life, we
may be builders of communion, and may
collaborate with enthusiasm, and in communion
with the whole Church, in creating a cilivization of
love.
