The Candlelighting Service: The Pastor will receive the light from the Christ Candle and transfer
it to the ushers. The ushers will then transfer it to the person seated at the end of each pew. This will enable you to receive your light from the person seated next to you. Starting at the front of the sanctuary, with your candles lit, follow the Pastor into the night and out into the world! How to light your candle: A lighted candle is never tipped in order to light anothers candle. Hold your lighted candle upright at all times. The person receiving the light tips their unlit candlewick over the other persons lighted candle. Please watch your children carefully if they have a lighted candle.

WE DEPART TO SERVE AND SHARE GODS LOVE
The Passing of the Light The symbol of taking Christs light into the world is almost overwhelming. It is a beautiful event to receive the light from the Christ candle through others, to share it with another, and then to take Christs light into the world. Dismissal Go in His light and change the world! Silent Night
Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright round yon virgin mother and child. Holy infant, so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace. Silent night, holy night, shepherds quake at the sight; glories stream from heaven afar, heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born! Silent night, holy night, Son of God, loves pure light; radiant beams from Thy holy face with the dawn of redeeming grace, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth. Silent night, holy night, wondrous star, lend thy light; with the angels let us sing, Alleluia to our King; Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born!
