Beef Stroganoff

Perfect for a dinner that is both satisfying and easy to make:

Ingredients:

- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or tenderloin, thinly sliced into strips

- 1 medium onion, finely chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 lb (225g) mushrooms, sliced

- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

- 1 cup (240ml) beef broth

- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

- 1 cup (240ml) sour cream

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

- Cooked egg noodles or rice, for serving

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

- Slice the beef into thin strips. Season with salt and pepper.

- Chop the onion and mince the garlic. Slice the mushrooms.

2. Brown the Beef:

- In a large skillet or sauté pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil or butter over medium-
high heat.
- Add the beef strips and sauté until browned on all sides, about 3-5 minutes.
Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

3. Cook the Vegetables:

- In the same pan, add the remaining oil or butter.

- Add the chopped onion and mushrooms, sautéing until the onions are
translucent and the mushrooms are golden, about 5-7 minutes.

- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

4. Make the Sauce:

- Sprinkle the flour over the cooked onions and mushrooms, stirring to coat.

- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.

- Add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, and bring to a simmer. Let the
sauce thicken for a few minutes.

5. Combine and Finish Cooking:

- Return the browned beef to the pan. Reduce heat and simmer for another 5-10
minutes, until the beef is cooked through and the sauce has thickened to your
liking.

- Turn off the heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined. Adjust
seasoning with salt and pepper.

6. Serve:

- Serve the Beef Stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or rice.

- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

This Beef Stroganoff recipe offers a creamy, savory sauce combined with tender
strips of beef, making it a fulfilling meal for any dinner. Enjoy your cooking!
