OBJECTIFS DE LA FORMATION
The MA in ‘Applied linguistics: Theory, research and pedagogy’ program is designed for students who
would like to pursue a career in language teaching and research. The content of the program is
aligned with Moroccan language-in-education policy promoting foreign language learning and
multilingual education. It also supports the orientation and vision of the Faculty of Education to align
training programs with national priorities and job market needs. In this respect, the program aims to
provide students with a solid knowledge base related to the study of language, language learning,
teaching, and assessment with a view to developing their professional and pedagogical skills. In
addition, the program introduces students to research methodology and prepares them for
conducting systematic inquiry into an array of issues related to applied linguistics with a particular
focus on the Moroccan ELT context. Students are also introduced to a large portfolio of transversal
skills to maximize their personal, academic, and professional success. Through this balanced
emphasis on theory, research and pedagogy, the program purports to equip students with the
necessary knowledge, experiences, and skills to start their careers as well as stimulate their
awareness of ethics, values and professionalism in educational contexts.

● Jobs in relation with Language education (teaching, high school teachers’ supervision) in public and

private institutions.

● Jobs in relation with language and communication (e.g., translation, foreign cultural services –embassies).

● Continue research in doctorate or other programs
