5.2 Motivation

Today, we're going to play a game

1. Preparation:

Wash and peel the


mangoes.

Chop the mangoes into


smallpieces.

2. Cooking:

• Place the mango pieces in a (students participate in cooking)


cooking pot.

• Add sugar and lemon juice to


the pot.
• Stir the mixture over medium
heat until the sugar dissolves.
• Bring the mixture to a boil
and then let it simmer until it
thickens.
• Optional: Add pectin to speed
up the thickening process

3.Finishing: (Students pour jam into sterilized


jars and seal them)
• Once the jam reaches the
desired consistency, remove it
from heat.
• Pour the hot jam into
sterilized jars and seal them.
• Let the jars cool to room
temperature before storing.
