Warm-up 15’

The Teachers arrive; they greet the Sts.

The T will ask: “What day is today? What’s the weather like today?” and receive different answers
from the students. In case she does not get any answer, she will help them by giving part of the
answer “Today is Thursday…” (Ts know that the kids haven’t learnt the days of the week by heart
yet). The Ts will have a poster with the date and the weather on it (and labels to change the date),
also a folder with the names of the kids so that the T can pick one helper each day.
Engage 15’

To begin to review the vocabulary from last class The TS will ask them to play a game “Find a
match”. The T will give flashcards to some students and word cards to the other students. Then
the T will explain to them: “Listen, now that you have a flashcard or a word card you have to have
to find your match, to do that you have to walk around the classroom and ask to your classmates
for example: Have you got an apple? If you find your match, quickly you have to sit down next to
your classmate and hold up the flashcard and the word card and say MATCH”. After that, the T
quickly will revise the food items with questions and the flashcards.

Study 10’

To continue with the class, The T will ask them: “Do you remember Remy? (it´s the rat from the
movie Ratatouille that we saw the first class) Do you remember what Remy likes to do?” the T will
receive different answers. Then, the T will say: “Now, I will present you two of Remy´s friends,
maybe you already know them; Please, open your Pupil´s book and go to page 47”. The T will hold
up their book and say: “Look, This is Linguini and this is Colette, Where are they? What are they
doing? Is Colette happy?” Then, the T will ask them to read the list of products below the picture.
She will explain the sts: “Now, you will hear an audio about Linguini (1) Colette (2), and you have to
match the list with Linguini or Colette”

Pupil´s Book p 47 Activity 8 (Audio2.45)

Study 15’

After checking the previous activity, the Ts will ask the sts to open their Activity books on page 45.
“Look! Remy and Linguini are making a soup! Ohh, there you have all the ingredients but the words
are scrambled!! Can you unscramble the words so that we know what Remy likes in his soup?” (Ex
7)

After unscrambling the words and writing them, the Ts will ask the sts to do ex 8 on the same
page. (Circle the correct option according to exercise 7).

Activate 20’

The Ts will give each st a sheet of paper with the headings “My Menu” and a blank space. Below,
the heading “I don’t like…”. The instructions are that each student has to paste the food that
they’d put in their restaurant’s menu, and below, the food they don’t like. After that, in pairs, they
have to interchange the sheets of paper, and one by one they have to say “She/he likes… in the
menu. He/she doesn’t like…” out loud.

EXTRA ACTIVITY

If there’s some time to spare, the Ts will make the sts say a tongue twister (Pupil’s book p 47 “Can
I have a sandwich?”)

AT THE END OF THE CLASS

The Ts will give the sts chocolate strawberries as a treat for the end of the lessons together. The Ts
may make the sts guess before they give the treat.
Closure

The Ts will sing the Clean Up song ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFE0mMWbA-Y ) so the

kids prepare their things and get ready to go.
