Kerala: God’s own land

06 Nights & 07 Days

ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrive at Cochin and head to Munnar (4 – 5 hrs. Journey)
Pick up from Railway Station/Airport at Cochin and proceed to Munnar. Throughout the journey
enjoy beautiful streams small waterfalls, Rubber, Pepper cardamom and Tea plantations and
thick forests; God has blessed his own country with incomparable beauty on arrival at Munnar
check in to Hotel. At leisure. Overnight stay in Hotel, Munnar.

Day 02: Local sight-seeing in Munnar -


Wake up lazy morning. After breakfast, we’ll proceed for local sightseeing including Maduppatty
Dam, Echo Point, Kundalay Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, and Blossom Park etc. In evening,
return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Note: Eravikulam National Park is closed during FEB & MAR every year due to breeding period
Visiting hours –
• Eravikulam National Park – 09.00 hrs. - 16.00 hrs.
• Tea Museum – 10:00 hrs. - 16:30 hrs.
• Mattuppetty Dam – 09:30 hrs. - 15:00 hrs.

Day 03: Munnar - Thekkady (120 km / 04Hours)


After breakfast, checkout the hotel and drive to Thekkday. Upon arrival there, check into the hotel
and have lunch (personal expense). In the afternoon, proceed for a boat cruise at Periyar Lake in
Thekkday (Direct payment), which is synonymous with wildlife and nature treks. Later in the
evening, visit the theatre (non air- conditioned) to have a firsthand experience of arts and crafts
through the traditional Kalari Show. After that, you can either shop in the local market or opt for an
elephant ride (on direct payment basis) in the evening. Return to the hotel in the evening.

1. Periyar National Park- Periyar National Park is the most important reserve of Southern
India which is an important Tiger and Elephant habitat. Rich in flora and fauna, the national
park is a feast for all those who love nature and wildlife more than people. Enjoy a walk in
the nature bliss which lies untouched by the human disturbances. Look out for the ambush
of tigers and herd of elephants playing in the lake. It could be a sight that you will behold in
your heart for a long time. The principle attraction of the national remains the Periyar Lake
spread in the area of 25sq km that surrounds the national park. This is where you can enjoy
the elephants playing in the water or the tigers on the bank quenching their thirst.
2. Elephant ride- When you are at Periyar National Park, a mere sight of the elephant isn't just
enough to make your trip worthwhile. Enjoy the elephant ride hitching slowly in his habitat.
If you think that's enough the mighty creature will further surprise you with its trunk on
your head giving you blessings or you could just enjoy the bath with the elephants in
nature's Jacuzzi.

3. Kalari Show - Thekkday is full of surprises. When you have had enough of wildlife, it will
offer you its culture, rising up your interest again. Kalari or Kalaripayattu is one of the major
contributions India has given to the world. Kalari is an ancient form of Martial art which
originated in South India and is still a popular art of Kerala. Do not miss this culture coupled

Day 04: Thekkady - Alleppey (140 kms /4-5 hrs)-


After breakfast, checkout the hotel and drive to Alleppey and Alleppey; also known as Venice of the
east by its special geographical features as the place is famous for its vast back water stretches and
paddy fields. By 12 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the back waters and its serene
beauty. Enjoy the ride; delicious cuisines and an overnight stay on Houseboat.
Day 05: Alleppey to Kovalam (220 kms /7-8 hrs)
After breakfast, checkout the hotel and Proceed to Kovalam by private vehicle. En route visit
Aazhimala Shiva Temple & Trivandrum sightseeing like - Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple and
other sightseeing. Then reach Kovalam and overnight stay.

Day 06: Day Trip Kanyakumari ( Total 180 kms)
Have breakfast and move to Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari is the southernmost tip of the Indian
Peninsula and the meeting point of three seas, namely Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and the Indian
Ocean. En route you should never miss the Padmanabhapuram Palace, the largest wooden palace
in the World and the magnificent Sucheendram Temple, where the Trinities are worshiped. At
Kanyakumari you can visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Kanyakumari Devi Temple.
After sunset come back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07: Explore Kovalam & Drop at Airport/railway station –


After breakfast, checkout the hotel and head to visit Kovalam Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach and
Ashoka Beach – the three together form the famous crescent of the Kovalam beach and Poowar
Island. Relax on beaches, after then drop at railway station or airport for catch the train/flight to
back Home.

 The vehicle is at your disposal from 09 am till 08 pm on daily basis.
 Please carry your photo identification card as the hotels may ask for the same at the time of
check in.
 In the past we have witnessed many unannounced transport strikes in Kerala, if such strike
happens during the tour no sightseeing tour will be provided on that day.
 Kerala itineraries involves lot of travelling. Our sales team advise you the distance between
the destinations and time required to cover that distance.
Difference between Dlx, Premium, Luxury houseboats

 Ac deluxe – Good quality houseboat with ac timing from 9pm to 6am, one non veg per meal
 Ac Premium –Houseboat which is little more higher quality with full time ac room, 2 non veg
per meal
 Ac Luxury – Houseboat with glass covered leaving area with ac facility in the leaving area as
well, flower decoration candle light dinner, Cake and 2 non veg per meal.
 Backwater route: - Alleppey to Alleppey.
 Check in time – 12 noon/ Check out time – 9am.
 Cruise timing – 12 noon to 1.30pm cruise , 1.30 to 2.30 lunch break , 2.30 – 5.30 cruise ,
5.30pm – 7.30am docking time , 7.30 – 9 am cruise and then after check out

Cancellation Policy :

 In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable
reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective
from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:
 75% of the total booking amount is refundable in case of cancellation 25 days prior to date
of arrival.
 50% of the total booking amount is refundable in case of cancellation 15 days prior to date
of arrival.
 Advance deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation 1 week prior to the date of arrival
or NOSHOW.
 Change of dates will be considered only in special cases.
 Note: Written cancellation will accept on all working days, except Sunday, Any cancellation
sent on Sunday’s will be considered on next working day (Monday).
 For the X-mas and new year period from 20 Dec to 05 Jan the payment is non-refundable.
 In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited
amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from
the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered
transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

 30% of the Total Budget at the time of booking and you will get booking confirmation
voucher within 72 hours.
 20% After confirmation Voucher.
 Rest 50% during your trip or when the trip get started.
