Definition:

 Physical changes:
- The appearance or form of the matter changes, its composition
remains the same despite its molecules being rearranged.
- It’s a temporary change.
- It only affects on physical properties (shape, size, etc.)
- Take very little to no absorption of energy.
- Not involved the production of energy
- No new substance is formed, meaning none of matter can gain
something new during the physical changes.
- But the substance can be easily reversible, meaning you can reform
again the matter (melting ice but can freeze water for example)

- Examples: freezing water, melting wax/ice, boiling water, chopping

wood, cutting a sheet of paper, changing the mold of a clay,
shattered glass (each fragment is still part of glass)

 Chemical changes: its molecular composition is changed entirely.

This will create the formation of new substances.
- It is a permanent change
- It changes both physical and chemical properties of the substance
including its composition.
- Absorption and evolution of energy take place.
- Involves the production of energy
- Always accompanied by one or more new substances
- Are irreversible and cannot be recovered.
- Examples: when iron is exposed to oxygen and moisture it
undergoes a chemical, mixing all ingredients to bake a cake.
Vinegar and baking soda make it fizzle.

Slide 1: Introduction of physical and chemical changes: just show what topic
you gonna present to the class
Slide 2: Definitions of Physical and Chemical changes: explains what the
topic means along with slide 3 to show examples.

Slide 3: Examples of physical/chemical changes and explain how they work

during their changes

Slide 4: Real life examples: Show the video or photo of real life physical and
chemical changes with brief explanations

Slide 5: How to detect? Explain how to detect which physical or chemical

change and how to justify if it’s correct?

Slide 6: P/C changes in our everyday life: should relate something that
happens around us in the environment. And explains how are we using the
physical or chemical changes daily.

Slide 7: Conclusion : Summarize the topic to make it clear explanation.
