Installation of new XML file
Document Number: 0085-7956 V01
Offshore relevant: Yes

Purpose and Background
The purpose of this document is to inform about an XML file which will be installed in the controller software of your
turbine(s). XML files are used for changing parameters in turbine software. By installing XML files, it is ensured that the
same parameters/values are changed in all the affected turbines, and it is a faster solution than having to change the
parameters manually. XML files are temporary files and will be removed from the turbine software when a new turbine
software (TSW) release is ready which solves the issue addressed by the XML file.

This XML file applies to the following Turbine Software Release(s) (TSW):
Release 2016.01 onwards.
Description:
This XML file is needed if new PT100 sensors are installed in a PMG or SFIG generator. The new sensors are not
installed in the same places as the original ones, which means that they are not installed in the “hotspot” area of the
windings. The XML file lowers the temperature limit of alarm 2950, ‘GeneratorHighPhaseTemp’, from 155°C to 122°C for
PMG generators and to 105°C for SFIG generators to ensure that an alarm is triggered, should overheating of the
generator windings occur.
When is it expected that this XML file will become invalid:
The XML is hardware dependent and should remain installed in the turbine.
Upload Turbine State:

☒ Turbine must be stopped (15 min. downtime)
☐Turbine must be rebooted (30 min. downtime)
