ِSurahِAl-Munafiqunِ

ِAyahِ1

َ ‫ِﯾن‬ ْ َ‫ﺳولُهِۥ وُ َِٱ ّ ُِّ ﯾ‬


َٰ َِ ‫ﺷ َﮭُِد إِ ِّن لِْم ُنﻓِﻘ‬ ُ ‫ﺷ َﮭُِدَ إِن َِكّ ﻟَ َر‬
ُ ‫ﺳو ُِل ّٱ ِِّ و َِٱ ّ ُِّ ﯾَﻊْلُِمَ إِن َِكّ ﻟَ َر‬ ْ ‫ون َ قَاﻟُوِا ن‬ ٓ َِ ‫ُون َإِ َذا ج َا َء‬
َٰ َِ ُ‫ك ٱلْم ُنﻓِﻘ‬ َٰ َِ ‫لَك ِذﺑ‬

(Sahih International)

When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, "We testify that
you are the Messenger of Allah." And Allah knows that you are His
Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.

َِ‫ إِذَا َجا ٓ َءكَِ ٱ ْل ُم َٰنَ ِفقُون‬: when the hypocrites come to you –
Maf’ool Fehi Fi Mahalli Nasb

( describing time: when did they come to you)

‫إِذَا‬ : when Special Mudaf

َِ‫ َجاءَك‬: he comes to you

‫ جا َء‬Fi’l Maadi ‫ ك‬Maf’ool bihi. Fi Mahalli Jarr JF

َ‫ ٱ ْل ُم َٰنَ ِفقُون‬: the hypocrites Faa’il Maf’ool Fehi of Kaalu


ُ ‫ش َه ُدِ إِنّكَِ لَ َر‬
ِ‫سو ُِل ٱ ّّلل‬ ْ َ‫ن‬ Maf’ool bihi Fi Mahalli Nasb of ‫قالُوا‬

Maqool Al Qawl

ْ َ‫قَالُواِ ن‬
‫ش َه ُِد‬

‫قَالُوا‬ : they say


Fi’l maadi / Faa’il ‫هم‬

‫ نَ ْش َه ُد‬: we testify

Fi’l mudare / Faa’il ُ‫نَحن‬

‫ّلل‬ ُ ‫ِإنّكَِ لَ َر‬


ِِّ ‫سو ُِل ٱ‬
َ‫إِنَّك‬ : certainly you are HON + ISM Mubtada

‫لَ َرسُو ُل‬ : truly the Messenger of Allah ‫ ل‬of Emphasis Maf’ool bihi Fi Mahalli Nasb

‫ رسول‬Mudaf Khabar ْ َ‫ن‬


of ِ‫ش َه ُد‬

ِ‫ٱ َّّلل‬ : Mudafiliah

ُ ‫ّلل يَ ْعلَ ُِم إِنّكَِ لَ َر‬


ُ‫سولُ ِه‬ ُِّ ‫َِوٱ‬
ُ‫ َوٱ َّّلل‬: and Allah Mubtada

‫ يَ ْع َل ُم‬: he knows JF ( Khabar)

Fi’l mudare / Faa’il ‫هو‬

َ‫إِنَّك‬ : certainly you HON +ISM Mubtada

‫لَ َرسُولُهُۥ‬ : truly his Messenger ‫ ل‬of Emphasis Idafah Khabar

َِ‫ن ٱ ْل ُم َٰنَ ِف ِقينَِ لَ َٰ َك ِذبُون‬
ِّ ِ‫ش َه ُِد إ‬
ْ َ‫ّلل ي‬
ُِّ ‫َِوٱ‬
ُ‫َوٱ َّّلل‬ : and Allah Mubtada

‫يَ ْش َه ُد‬ : he testifies Fi’l mudare / Faa’il ‫هو‬

َ‫ إِنَّ ٱ ْل ُم َٰنَ ِفقِين‬: certainly the hypocrites HON +ISM. Mubtada JI JF

َ‫ لَ َٰ َك ِذبُون‬: are liars Khabar Maf’ool bihi of ‫يَ ْس َه ُد‬. Khabar

Of Lafdul

Jalaala
When the hypocrites come to you they say, "We testify, certainly you are truly the messenger
of Allah." And Allah he knows certainly you are truly his messenger. And Allah he testifies
certainly the hypocrites are liars.

ِ‫جا َء‬ ‫جا َء‬ ‫يُجي ُء‬ ‫َمجيا‬

‫قالُوا‬ ‫قال‬ ‫يَقُ ْو ُل‬ ‫قَ ْول‬

ْ َ‫ن‬
‫ش َه ُِد‬ ‫َش ِه َد‬ ‫يَ ْش َه ُد‬ ‫شَهادَة‬

ِ‫َي ْعلَ ُم‬ ‫عل َِم‬


َ ‫َي ْع َل ُم‬ ‫ع ِْلما‬

َِ‫لَ َٰ َك ِزبُون‬ ‫ب‬


َ َ‫كَز‬ ُ‫َي ْك ِزب‬ ‫ك َِزبا‬

َِ ُ‫ال ُم َٰنَ ِفق‬


‫ون‬ َ‫ناَفَق‬ ُ‫يُنافِق‬ ‫نِفاقا‬

They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it

Surah Al-Munafiqoon

Ayah 2 ( Day 87 )

َ۟‫ّلل إِنَّ ُه ْ۟م َسا ٓ َ۟ء َما كَانُوا۟ يَ ْع َملُون‬


َِّ۟ ‫ل ٱ‬
ِ۟ ‫عن َسبِي‬ َ َ‫ٱتَّ َخذُ ٓوا۟ أَ ْي َٰ َمنَ ُه ْ۟م ُجنَّة۟ ف‬
َ ۟‫صدُّوا‬

They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it
was evil that they were doing.

Sarf : ‫ ا َءيْمان‬oaths ( broken plural)

‫ يَمِ يْن‬oath/right hand ( singular)

DOER : ‫آ َمنَ يُوءْمِ ُن اءِ يمانا فهو ُموءمِ ن‬

Done to: ‫ا ُءو ْءمِ نَ يُو ْء َم ُن اءِ يمانا فهو ُمو ْء َمن‬

Command & Zarf : ‫آمِ نْ الت ُوءْمِ نْ ُمو ْء َمن‬

‫ صد‬: Irregular verb

Sarf :

‫صدًّا صاَد‬. ‫صَد يَصُد‬

‫صد ُْود‬
ْ ‫ َم‬. ‫صَدا‬. ‫صُد يُصَد‬

NOTE : When a word begins with ‫ ف‬means Grammer Sentence is over so it’s

a break here.
‫ فَصَدوا‬: they blocked

‫ ف‬: means so/then /therefore /as a result

In this ayah it means: therefore

‫ (الفا ُ۟ء ال َّسبَبيَّة‬Faa Sababiyyah)

Ayah 2 ( Day 88 )

As salaam alaikum

Henceforth we will have notes of Sister Maseera which has a good overall view at a glance.

May Allah reward her abundantly for her generosity. To have delailed insight you can always refer

Al-Munaafiqoon (63:2)

َ۟‫ّلل ِإنَّ ُه ْ۟م َسا ٓ َ۟ء َما كَانُوا۟ يَ ْع َملُون‬

Tamyeez means specifier

Eg: I am better at driving ( specifier)

Eg: Allah increase me in knowledge

‫ ت َْميِ ْي ۟ز‬: singular /Nasb / common

۟‫ ُم رْ تَفَق‬Ism Zarf (place to relax) from ‫ب‬

Translation : How horrible He’ll۟is۟a۟place۟to۟relax

2 ۟‫سا َءتْ۟ َج َهنَّ ُم‬

ْ۟‫ سا َءت‬: Fi’l ( How horrible she is)

۟‫ َج َهنَّ ُم‬: Faa’il۟:۟outside۟doer۟&۟Raf’۟(Hell is)

Translation : How horrible Hell is

Not necessary that Tamyeez has to be there, but if it is then we look for singular /Nasb
/common

Step 4 َ۟‫ما كانوا َي ْع َملُ ْون‬ ‫ ما‬: Ism Mowsool means what

َ۟‫ كانوا يَ ْع َملُون‬: Silatul Mowsool ( fused with

Whenever Ism Mowsool (like Maa, allazi


etc) comes then the words after that fuse to
be one ONE GAINT word

So what eve ones after Ism Mowsool ‫ما‬

what they have been doing Past Continuous : they have been doing

It’s۟an۟outside۟doer۟of۟‫ساء‬

How horrible is what they have been doing. So here we have ‫ ساء‬but not as Tamyeez. We
only have a Fi’l & an outside doer in۟Raf’۟form

Ayah 3 ( Day 89 )

Recap of part of ayah 2 :

َِّ۟ ‫ل ٱ‬
ِ۟ ‫عن َسبِي‬ َ َ‫ٱتَّ َخذُ ٓوا۟ أَ ْي َٰ َمنَ ُه ْ۟م ُجنَّة۟ ف‬
َ ۟‫صدُّوا‬

They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it

۟‫ ِإنَّ ُه ْم‬Mubtada

‫ َسا ٓ َ۟ء َما كَانُوا۟ يَ ْع َملُون‬Khabar

‫ َما كَانُوا۟ يَ ْع َملُون‬Faa’il۟of۟‫ساء‬

‫ َما كَانُوا۟ َي ْع َملُون‬Ism Mowsool + Silatul Mowsool (one word)

‫ كَانُوا۟ يَ ْع َملُون‬used to/has been ( past continuous)

[ ‫ ] كَانُوا۟ يَ ْع َملُون‬inside the parentheses :

۟‫ كَانُوا‬: Mubtada ( Ism Kaana۟:۟Raf’۟۟‫)هم‬

‫ يعملون‬: Khabar Kaana ( always Nasb)

But۟it’s۟unusual۟to۟have۟Fi’l۟Mudare’۟as۟Khabar۟Kaanaas۟we۟always۟look۟for۟an Ism.

Therefore since ‫ يَ ْع َملُون‬is Khabar with۟no۟status۟since۟its۟Fi’l۟mudare’,۟we call it Fi Mahalli Nasb


Ayah 3

Al-Munaafiqoon (63:3)

َ۟ ‫ى قُلُو ِب ِه ْ۟م فَ ُه ْ۟م‬


َ۟ ‫ل َي ْفقَ ُه‬
‫ون‬ َ ‫َٰذَلِكَ۟ ِبأَنَّ ُه ْ۟م َءا َمنُوا۟ ث َُّ۟م َكف َُروا۟ فَطُ ِب َ۟ع‬
َٰ۟ َ‫عل‬

That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and
they do not understand.

َ۟‫ ذَلِك‬Mubtada ( Pointer – Raf’۟)۟

‫اءن اءَن ليت لكِن لَعَل‬ HON + ISM = Mubtada

‫ِباءَن ِِلءَن‬ Here ‫ل‬


ِ۟ & ‫ب‬
ِ۟ are HOJ. So both
the Harfs are combination of
HOJ & HON

We also know IDEA : to eat, to sleep etc. IDEA is an Ism without time ( no past/present /future)

Masdars are also IDEA

New concept of ‫اءَن &اءَن‬

‫اءَن‬ To / that

‫اءَن يَنصُر‬ To help (Idea)

‫اءَن يُس ِل َم‬ That he accepts Islam

‫اءِ سالما‬ To surrender ( Idea) Masdar

‫ اءَن‬+ mudare = ISM Idea So can act as MI or Majroor


since its an Ism

Concept of ‫ِِلءَن & بِاءَن‬ Both means : because

In English there are 2 types of I ate because of hunger


because (one word answer)

I ate because I was hungry


( sentence)

❖ So whenever we have َّ۟‫ بِا َءن‬it will be followed by a sentence as an answer & never a single
word for an answer

❖ Whenever we see َّ۟‫ ِبا َءن‬in۟Qu’ran۟۟means there is a reason coming up in form of a sentence.

۟‫ ِ۟بأَنَّ ُه ْ۟م َءا َمنُوا۟ ث َُّ۟م َكف َُروا‬MBK ( gaint Jaar Majroor) Fi Mahalli Jarr

۟‫ب‬
ِ HOJ ( Jaar )

۟‫أَنَّ ُه ْ۟م َءا َمنُوا۟ ث َُّ۟م َكف َُروا‬ gaint Majroor

Now let us look inside the gaint Jaar Majroor

۟‫ أَنَّ ُه ْم‬Mubtada ( HON + ISM )

۟‫ َءا َمنُوا‬Khabar ( they believed) ۟‫ ث ُ َّم‬Harf Atf ( then )

۟‫ َكف َُروا‬Khabar ( they believed) Khabar Fi۟Mahalli۟Raf’

Now let us look inside ۟‫ َءا َمنُوا۟ ث َُّ۟م َكف َُروا‬which is a Khabar

۟‫ َءا َمنُوا‬Fi’l

Pronoun is they

Faa’il۟۟‫هم‬

Different ways to look at it :

❖ They, they believed then disbelieved

❖ They are the ones who believed then disbelieved

Ayah 3 (Day 90)

ََٰ ‫َٰذلِكَ ِبأنَّ ُهمَ ءامنُواَ ث ََُّم كف ُرواَ فطُ ِبعَ عل‬
َ ‫ى قُلُو ِب ِهمَ ف ُهمَ لَ يفق ُه‬
‫ون‬

That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they
do not understand.

َ‫ فطُبِع‬:

‫ ف‬means therefore/so

Here it means therefore.

‫الفاء السببية‬: ‫( ف‬Faa Sababiyyah)

َ‫ طُ ِبع‬: ( advanced grammar)

Vocabulary : it was sealed ( passive )

Just like : ‫ نص َر‬he helped ‫ُص َر‬


ِ ‫ ن‬he was helped(passive)

Another example : ‫ نص َر اءحم َُد‬Ahmad helped. ‫ُص َر اءحم َُد‬


ِ ‫ ن‬Ahmad was helped (passive)

َ‫قتلَ الظا ِل ُم‬ The oppressor killed َ‫ قُتِلَ الظا ِل ُم‬The oppressor was killed (passive)

Inَpassiveَweَdon’tَhaveَanَoutsideَdoerَbutَNayebulَ Faa’ilَ(َdoneَto)َ
َ‫ى قُلُو ِب ِهم‬
ََٰ ‫ عل‬:

ِ ‫ى قُلُو‬
َ‫ب‬ ََٰ ‫ عل‬Jaar Majroor MBF

َ‫ قُلُوبِ ِهم‬Mudaf Mudafiliah

Translation : On their hearts

ََٰ ‫ طُبِعَ عل‬: it was sealed on their hearts ( makes no sense)


َ‫ى قُلُوبِ ِهم‬

Sinceَweَcan’tَsayَ‘َtheَsealَwasَsealed’َsometimes “it”َisَbased on theَwordَ“sealed”

AtَtimesَtheَdoneَtoَisَanَideaَinsideَtheَFi’lَitself.َ( advanced)

Soَ“َAَsealَwasَplacedَ“َ(َtoَgetَanَideaَevenَthoughَthere is no Arabic word for ‘place’ in the ayah)

َ‫ف ُهمَ لَ يفق ُهون‬

َ‫ ف ُهم‬: Faa Sababiyyah ‫ف‬ Jumlah Ismiyyah

َ‫فقِهَ يفقهُ فِقها‬ to understand well / deeply

َ‫ سمِ عَ يسم ُعَ سمعا‬In small families Masdar font match the Present /PastَFi’lَasَcomparedَtoَbigَfamilesَ

ٰ َّ‫ٱّلل أَن‬ َ ٰ‫ص ْي َحة‬ َّٰ ‫َو ِإذَا َرأَ ْيتَ هه ْٰم ت ه ْع ِجبهكَٰ أَجْ َسا هم هه ْمٰ َو ِإن يَقهولهواٰ تَ ْس َم ْٰع ِلقَ ْو ِل ِه ْٰم َكأَنَّ هه ْٰم هخشهبٰ م َسنَّدَةٰ يَحْ َسبهونَٰ كه‬
َ ‫ل‬
َٰ ‫يهؤْ فَكه‬
‫ون‬

And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They
are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are
the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?

We know :

Fi’lٰٰmudare’ٰPassive : U/A sound. َ ‫يه ْن‬


Eg ‫ص هٰر‬

Fi’lٰmaadi Passive : U/I sound. Eg ‫هص َٰر‬


ِ ‫ن‬

Fi’l mudare Passive Fi’l maadi Passive


‫نَ ْش َه هٰد‬ ‫نه ْش َه هٰد‬ ‫اِتَّ َخذه ْوا‬ ‫اتخِ ذه ْوا‬
‫َي ْعلَ هٰم‬ ‫يه ْعلَ هٰم‬
‫يَ ْش َه هٰد‬ ‫يه ْش َه هٰد‬ ‫َكف هَر ْوا‬ ‫كهف هِر ْوا‬
‫ون‬ َٰ ‫َي ْع َمله‬ ‫ون‬ َٰ ‫يه ْع َمله‬

‫َو ِإذَا َرأ َ ْيت َ هه ْٰم‬

‫ و‬: and (Harf Atf)

‫ اءِ ذا‬: when (for future) ٰ‫ظرف‬

• Always Nasb / Fi Mahalli Nasb
• Their starting point has to be Nasb
• Whatever comes after it is Fi Mahalli Jarr, never Jarr
ٰ‫َرأ َ ْيت َ هه ْم‬

To chk if its : Ism/ٰFi’lٰmaadiٰ/Fi’lٰMudareٰ/Amr

It’sٰnotٰasٰIsmٰ: no reason to be an Ism

It has past tense ending (details below)

• It was going to be ‫ي‬


َٰ ‫ َرا َء‬but it sounds smoother as ‫َٰرا َءي‬
So basically ‫ي‬
َٰ sounds weird so the Arabs got rid of it except for sukoon followed by ‫ن‬
MaadiٰoccursٰaٰlotٰinٰQur’an.ٰ

But when like is used in translation we flip & say “ِYouِlikeِtheirِbodiesِِ“

Translate the following phrases with “impress” & “like” keeping in mind the tenses :-

ُ‫ ( يُع ِْجبُكَِ قَ ْولَ ِه‬word)

1. His words impress you.


2. You like his word.

ِ‫( أَ ْع َجبَتْكُ ْم‬past tense)

1. She impressed you all.


2. You all liked her.

ِ‫أَ ْع َجبَكُ ْم‬ (past tense)

1. He impressed you all.

َ‫ب الزُّ ّراع‬


ُِ ‫يُع ِْج‬ (the farmers)

َ ‫ٱ ْل‬
ُ َّ ‫عد ُُّو فَٱحْ ذَ رْ هُ ْم َٰقَتَلَ ُه ُم ٱ‬
َ‫ّلل أَنَّ َٰى يُؤْ فَكُون‬

‫ و‬Harf Atf

‫ إِ ْن‬lightest harf (if)* “And if they say/ if

‫ َيقُ ْولُ ْوا‬lightest form ( original version َ‫) َيقُ ْولُ ْون‬ they speak”

‫ تَ ْس َم ْع‬present tense: lightest form (then)*

*Whenever we say, “If” we also say “then”. So in Arabic, “then” part also
becomes lightest, even if there is no lightest Harf. “If” makes the present
tense lightest, which is the “then” part.

If -> condition- Lightest

Then -> response- Lightest

*“If”(‫ْ)ن ِ إ‬ part = Shart ‫شرط‬

“Then” part = Jawab Al Shart ‫جواب الشرط‬

ُْ‫ ٱ َّّلل‬: Lafdul Jalaala is after & Raf’ْsoْit’sْan outside Faa’il

“ْAllah fought them”ْ

Note: Past tense is used for than just the past. In Balagha thereْareْ6ْreasonsْforْitْtoْbeْFi’lْmaadi.ْ

Here the reason is praying for someone so the translation would be:

“ْMay Allah fight them/destroy them” OR Allah has destroyed them

Alsoْit’sْinْtheْْ‫ جاهَ َد‬family which means extreme ( stronger words are used in Balagha) so the translation would be:

“ِMayِAllahِannihilateِthem”ِ

َْٰ ‫أ َ َّن‬
َْ‫ى يُؤْ فَ ُكون‬
ْ‫ أَ َّن َٰى‬: denotes How/to where /from where

َْ‫ يُؤْ فَكُون‬: Sarf ْ‫( أَفِكَْ يَأْفَكُْ إِ ْفكا‬to deviate)

Like ( masdars are different) ‫َسمِ َْع يَ ْس َم ُْع‬

َْ‫ يُؤْ فَكُون‬is U – Aْsoundْsoْit’sْPassiveْ(ْdoerْisْunknown)

NaaeebulْFaa’ilْisْ‫ (هم‬they)

“ِHowِdoِtheyِgetِdeviated”?

And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you," they turn
their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant.

‫َوإِذَا‬

Faa’ilِ(ِafterِ&ِRaf’)ِ

“ِThe Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for YOU TOO!”

You too : boz of ‫ لكم‬as mukaddam

Since Jawab Al Talab not occurred yet we use will

So the entire Talab and Jawab Al Talab is gaint NayebulِFaa’il

‫ّلل‬ ُ ‫َوإِذَا قِي َل لَ ُهم تَعَالَوا يَستَغ ِفر لَكُم َر‬

Haal is translated in many waysِ:ِِ‘as’ِorِwithِ‘ing’

“Youِseeِthemِas they block/ obstruct themselves &ِothers”


OR
“ِYouِseeِthemِblocking / obstructing themselvesِ&ِothers”

َ ‫َوه ُم َم ُّس تك ﺑِ ُرون‬ And they are arrogant/ seeking greatness for themselves

‫َوهُم‬ : Mubtada

َ‫ ُّمستَك ِب ُرون‬: Khabar JI

Sarf : ِ‫( اِستَ ْك َب َرِ َي ْستَ ْك ِب ُِر اِ ْس ِت ْكبارا‬noِpassiveِbozِit’sِLaazim)

‫ اِ ْستَ ْغف ََِر‬family : action can have 4 common benefits

1) Extreme- extremely arrogant.


In this case
2) Wanting- wanting greatness.

3) Demanding/asking- seek or ask for greatness

4) Trying for- trying to achieve greatness

ُِّ ‫ست َ ْغ ِف ِْر لَ ُه ِْم لَن يَ ْغ ِف َِر ٱ‬
ِ‫ّلل لَ ُه ْم‬ ْ َ ‫علَي ِْه ِْم أ‬
َ ِ‫س َوآء‬
َ

It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them;
never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.

َ : the same (Khabar : common - the is used to sound better even though if its common) JI

ّ ‫ّلل َخ َزآئِنُِ ٱل‬


ِِ‫س َم َوت‬ ِِّ ِ ‫َو‬ ُّ َ‫ى َينف‬
ِ‫ضوا‬ ِ ّ ‫ّللِ َحت‬
ِ ّ ‫سو ِلِ ٱ‬ ِْ ‫علَىِ َم‬
ُ ‫ن ِعن َدِ َر‬ ِ ُ‫ون َِل تُن ِفق‬
َ ‫وا‬ َِ ُ‫ِين َيقُول‬
َِ ‫هُ ُِم ٱلّذ‬

They are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until
they disband." And to Allah belongs the depositories of the heavens and the earth, but the
hypocrites do not understand.

“ِToِAllah (SWT) alone belongs the treasuresِofِtheِskiesِ&ِearthِ“.ِ

َِ‫َولَكِنِّ ٱ ْل ُمنَ ِفقِين‬

‫َٰلَكِن‬ : however HON JI

َ‫ ٱ ْل ُم َٰنَ ِفقِين‬: the hypocrites Ismuha Mubtada

َِ‫ َِل يَ ْفقَهُون‬: they do not understand JF – Khabar

ِّ ‫ين َولَ ِك‬


‫ن‬ َِ ِ‫سو ِل ِِهۦ َو ِل ْل ُم ْؤ ِمن‬
ُ ‫ّلل ٱ ْل ِع ّز ِةُ َو ِل َر‬
ِِّ ِ ‫َو‬ ِ‫يَقُولُونَِ لَئِن ّر َج ْعنَآِ إِلَى ٱِ ْل َمدِينَ ِةِ لَي ُْخ ِرجَنِّ ٱِ ْْلَعَزُِّ مِ ْن َهاِ ٱ ْْلَذَ ّل‬

َِ ‫ين َِل َي ْعلَ ُم‬


‫ون‬ َِ ‫ٱ ْل ُمنَ ِف ِق‬
They say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored [for
power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to
Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the
believers, but the hypocrites do not know

َ ِ‫سو ِل ِِهۦ َو ِل ْل ُم ْؤ ِمن‬


ِ‫ين‬ ُ ‫ّلل ٱ ْل ِع ّز ِةُ َو ِل َر‬
ِِّ ِ ‫َو‬
‫و‬ : Harf Atf

ِ‫ِلِل‬ : MBK mukaddam

ُ ‫ٱ ْل ِعزة‬ : Mubtada (proper)

‫سو ِل ِهۦ‬
ُ ‫ َو ِل َر‬: Jaar/Majroor + Idafah

َ‫ءمنِيْن‬
ِ ‫ و اِل ُم ْو‬: Jaar Majroor MBK ( but not part of Ikhtisaas)

“Honor & authority only belongs to Allah (SWT) & also to his
Messenger & also to his believers”.ِ

It’s 1 MBK ( same bucket) boz of ‫ و‬yet separated

MBK is broken & placed at the end – so it doesn’t have Ikhtisaas

‫ و‬carries the effect of ‫ل‬

3 different ‫ ل‬: first ‫ ل‬says that Allah (SWT) has the authority

second ‫ ل‬messenger are not given the same authority

third ‫ ل‬we are also separate from the honor of messenger

Each one has own kind of honour & its different from each other

There are 3 unique levels

Highest is Allah (SWT) then the Messenger & later our loyalty to the Messenger

Each has different decree due to the repetition of ‫ل‬

The honor is only with Allah (SWT) Ikhtisaas & by extention it is with our messenger & us.

َِ ‫ن ٱ ْل ُمنَ ِف ِقينَِ َِل يَ ْعلَ ُم‬


‫ون‬ ِّ ‫َولَ ِك‬
َِ‫َولَكِنِّ ٱ ْل ُمنَ ِفقِين‬

‫َٰلَكِن‬ : however HON JI

ََ‫ل يَ ْعلَ ُمون‬ َٰ
ََ ََ‫ٱل ُمنَ ِفقِين‬ ْ

ََّ‫ع َز مِ ْن َها ٱ ْْلَذَل‬

َ‫ لَئِن َّر َج ْعنَاَ ِإلَىَ ٱ ْل َمدِينَ ِة‬: Shart

‫ لَئِن‬: Emphasis َ‫ل‬

‫‘ إن‬if’ : lightest harf

َ‫ َّر َج ْعنَا‬: we returned

Fi’lَmaadiَ/ Faa’ilََُ‫نَحن‬

Sarf : َ‫َر َج َعَ يَرْ ِج ُعَ ُرج ُْوعا‬ (to return) Daraba family. Shart ِ‫شَرط‬

‫إِلَى‬ : to HOJ (Jaar)

َ‫ ٱ ْل َمدِينَ ِة‬: the city (Majroor)


Examples of Shart & Jawab Al Shart

If I wake up (Shart : imagined) Iَwon’tَbeَlateَ(Jawab Al Shart)

Whenَaَsentenceَstartsَwithَ‘if’َit’sَimaginedَ

When you add emphasis to something imagined it makes it even more hypothetical (more imagined-
further from reality)

Eg : Even if I wake up ( takes more imagination).َMostَlikelyَitَmeansَIَwon’tَbutَinَaَslim chance that


Iَdo………َ

On the contrary to the above : I wake up (reality)

When you add emphasis to something real, you make reality stronger

Eg : Iَcertainlyَwakeَup…..َ

So ‫ لَئِن َّر َج ْعنَاَ إِلَىَ ْٱل َمدِينَ َِة‬: Even if we were to return to the city : Shart

It has ‫ ل‬of Emphasis & ‘if’ : more hypothetical

َ‫عزَ مِ ْن َها ٱ ْْلَذَ َّل‬


َ َ ‫ لَي ُْخ ِر َجنََّ ٱ ْْل‬: Jawab Al Shart

ََّ‫ لَي ُْخ ِر َجن‬: definitely shall expel

‫ ل‬of Emphasis

Fi’lَmudare (heaviest) ‫ هو‬version so look for an outside doer

It has triple emphasis : heaviest with a ‫ لَ ( ل‬onَitsَownَmeansَ‘Iَswearَ‘)

ََّ‫لِل ٱ ْلع َِّزَة ُ َول َِرسُو ِل َِهۦ َول ِْل ُمؤْ مِ نِينََ َو َٰلَكِن‬
ََِّ ِ ‫َو‬ َ َ ‫َيقُولُونََ لَ ِئن َّر َج ْعنَاَ ِإلَى ٱ ْل َمدِي َن ِةَ لَي ُْخ ِر َج َّنَ ٱ ْْل‬
َ‫عزَ ِم ْن َها ٱ ْْلَذَ َّل‬
ََ‫ل يَ ْعلَ ُمون‬ َٰ
ََ ََ‫ٱل ُمنَ ِفقِين‬ ْ

They say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more
humble." And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites
do not know.

َ‫عزَ ِم ْن َها ٱ ْْلَذَ َّل‬ ََّ ‫َيقُولُونََ لَئِن ََّر َج ْعنَاَ ِإلَى ٱ ْل َمدِينَ َِة لَيُ ْخ ِر َج‬
َ َ ‫ن ٱ ْْل‬
ََ‫ َيقُولُون‬: they say

Fi’l mudare /َFaa’il ‫هم‬

َ َ ‫ لَئِن َّر َج ْعنَاَ ِإلَىَ ٱ ْل َمدِينَ َِة لَي ُْخ ِر َجنََّ ٱ ْْل‬: Maqool Al Qawl Fi Mahalli Nasb Maf’ool bihi
ََّ‫ع َز مِ ْن َها ٱ ْْلَذَل‬

َ‫ لَئِن َّر َج ْعنَاَ ِإلَىَ ٱ ْل َمدِينَ ِة‬: Shart

‫ لَئِن‬: Emphasis َ‫ل‬

‫‘ إن‬if’ : lightest harf

َ‫ َّر َج ْعنَا‬: we returned

Fi’lَmaadiَ/ Faa’ilََُ‫نَحن‬

Sarf : َ‫* َر َج َعَ يَرْ ِج ُعَ ُرج ُْوعا‬ (to return) Daraba family. Shart ِ‫شَرط‬

‫إِلَى‬ : to HOJ (Jaar)

َ‫ ٱ ْل َمدِينَ ِة‬: the city (Majroor) MBF mukaddam


* ‫ َر َج َِع‬to return

Sometimes it can be Laazim & sometimes Muta’addiَ(dependingَonَtheَcontext)َ

Eg : I return tomorrow In sha Allah (since doer is impacted its Laazim)

I return your jar every week (here detail isَimpactedَsoَMuta’addi)َ

In the ayah: َ‫ لَئِن ّر َج ْعنَاِ ِإلَى ٱ ْل َمدِينَ ِة‬thereَisَnoَMaf’oolَbihiَtherefore ‫ َر َج ََع‬is Laazim (without detail)

Translation : “ِEvenِifِweِwereِto return to the city”.ِ

But in Surah Al Waaqia ‫ َر َج ََع‬isَMuta’addiَ: ‫ تَرْ ِجعُ ْونَها‬You all return it (detail is impacted)

In English it can be used with or without detail

Eg : I returned. Laazim (َ‫ج َعَ ََر‬


ََ without detail/Maf’oolَbihi)َ

I returned the book. Muta’addiَ(withَdetail)َ

So basically if there is no Maf’ool bihi it’s Laazim & if there is then it’s Muta’addi

‫ون‬ ِّ ‫َو َٰلَ ِك‬
Translation : “ِHowever the hypocrites ,ِtheyِdon’tِknowِ/ِِِButِitِisِtheِhypocritesِwhoِdon’t

know.”ِ

They say, “Even if we were to return to the city ( Madinah), the most dignified will absolutely
expel the most humiliated from it”. And honor, authority and might belong only to Allah, also to
his Messenger along with the believers. However /But it is the hypocrites who don’t know.

ََِّ ‫عن ِذ ْك َِر ٱ‬ َََٰٓ ‫َلَ ت ُ ْل ِهكُ َْم أَ ْم َولُكُ َْم َو‬
َ ‫ل أَ ْولَ ُدكُ َْم‬ َ‫ََٰٓيأ َ ُّي َها ٱلَّذِينََ َءا َمنُوا‬

O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah.
And whoever does that - then those are the losers.

َ ُ‫َيَٰٓأَيُّ َها ٱلَّذِينََ َءا َمن‬


‫وا‬
‫ ََٰٓيأَيُّ َها‬:

‫ يا‬: Harf of Nidaa ‫( حرف النداء‬calling)

Whateverَcomesَafterَitَdoesn’tَhaveَ‫ ال‬Eg : َُّ‫يارب‬


َ ( boz ‫ ال‬+ ‫ يا‬don’tَgoَtogether)َ

So whenever we call anyone we just use ‫ & يا‬don’tَputَ‫ال‬

But if we still want to add ‫ ال‬to ‫ يا‬then we use ‫ أَيُّ َها‬Eg : ََ‫أَيُّ َها الَّ ِذيْن‬

‫ أَيُّ َها‬is added when the one you are calling has ‫ ال‬on it. Eg : َ‫(ياو َل ُد‬child)

• Allah used the ‫ ماضي‬to address us. (Allah is being more specific when we find this phrase. ‫ ها‬is
to get more to our attention)

• Maadi highlights that we have already accepted the faith sometime in the past. (reminding us of
the moment of our waking up)

• Youَ‘َwokeَup’َspirituallyَin the past but maybe you are back asleep.

• Fi’lَisَtemporaryَ&َtoَkeepَitَaliveَyouَmustَdoَit again. ( faith fluctuates)

• Past tense refers to a completed act. Which means youَdidn’tَjustَkindَofَbelieve, you jumped
in totally.

“ِThoseِofِyouِwhoِbelieve, neither your belongings nor your children should distract you from
remembering Allah (SWT)ِ“.ِ

Balagha :

ShartَisَbasedَonَaَFi’lَ - whoever does the temporary action is this life

Jawab Al Shart based on an Ism – permanent status of someone being a loser

ََ ‫فَأُولَئِكََ هُ َُم ٱ ْل َخ ِس ُر‬

َ : so / then (here it is then)

ََ‫أُولَئِك‬ : those people pointer (non flexible) /1st Raf’َsoَMubtada 1 Jawab Al

‫هم‬ : they (independent pronoun – Referee Pronoun ) /2nd Raf so Mubtada 2 Shart

ُ ‫ ٱ ْل َخ‬: theَlosersََََRaf’َ– Khabar ( proper)

‫ل۟ أَ َّخرْ تَن ا‬

َّ ‫َوأكُن مِنَ۟ ٱل‬

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you
and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among
the righteous."

What is ‫? َمجاز عقلي‬

It is special kind of indirect speech (mix of direct & indirect)

Eg : Toyota built a new car

(Technically۟Toyota۟didn’t۟built۟it۟but۟any۟people۟are involved. Toyota is just name of a company. Car


would not have been built without Toyota even though literally it is not a builder)

Eg : Russia launched a satellite

(۟So۟the۟country۟didn’t۟but۟many۟people۟involved….۟It’s۟a۟chain۟reaction)۟

‫ َمجا ۟ز عقلي‬is۟very۟common۟in۟Qur’an۟

َ۟ ِ‫ل أَن َيأْت‬


ُ۟‫ى أَ َح َد ُك ُ۟م ٱ ْل َم ْوت‬ ِ۟ ‫َوأَن ِفقُوا۟ ِمن َّما َرزَ ْق َٰنَ ُكم ِمن قَ ْب‬

۟‫أَن ِفقُوا‬: Spend - plural command – َ۟‫( أَ ْنفَق‬Aslama family)

‫ َرزَ ْق َٰنَكُم‬: we provided you all

َ۟‫ َرزَ ْق َٰن‬- we provided Fi’l۟maadi۟/۟Faa’ilُ۟۟‫نَحن‬

Sarf : ۟‫ِر ْزقا‬ ُ۟‫يَرْ ُزق‬ َ۟‫( َرزَ ق‬to provide)

Note : ۟‫ أَ ْن‬+ Fi’l۟= IDEA (Ism)

َ ‫يأَت‬+ ۟‫ = أَ ْن‬ISM (to come) = Mudafiliah

۟‫ أَ َح َدكُ ُم‬: one of you

Mudaf Mudafiliah /۟Maf’ool۟bihi۟mukaddam۟

Order is broken : Death is being delayed & ‫ أَ َح َد ُك ُ۟م‬is brought forward (mukaddam).۟Here۟it’s۟for۟shoch۟
purpose – Tashweeq – something is coming (death)

ُ۟‫ ٱ ْل َم ْوت‬: the death

َ۟ ‫يأَت‬
After۟&۟Raf’۟so outside doer of ‫ِي‬

“ِAndِspendِfromِwhat we have provided you much before the death comesِtoِoneِofِyou”.

But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

َ‫ّلل نَ ْف ًسا‬
ََُ ‫َولَن ي َُؤ ِّخ ََر ٱ‬

‫و‬ : and Harf Atf

َ‫لَ ْن‬ : will not Light Harf

‫ ي َُؤ ِّخ ََر‬: to delay LightَFi’lَmudare / ‫ تَ َعلَ ََم‬family

َ‫ّلل‬
َُ ‫ٱ‬ : Lafdul Jalaala Faa’il

‫ نَ ْفسًا‬: a person Maf’oolِbihiِ– (Feminine boz Arabs sd so)

َ‫ِّإذَا َجا ٓ ََء أَ َجلُ َها‬

‫ِّإذَا‬ : when Dharf / Mudaf / Fi Mahalli Nasb

َ‫َجا ٓ َء‬ : he comes ( look for an outside doer) Fi’lَmaadiَ/ Mudafiliah Fi Mahalli Jarr

‫ أَ َجلُ َها‬: his/her/ their deadline Faa’il Maf’oolِFehiِ

َ‫ أَ َج ُل‬deadline Mudaf (when will this

‫ها‬ his/ her/ their Mudafiliah ( ‫ ها‬Feminine boz ‫ نَ ْفسًا‬is feminine) happen)

(no Maf’oolَ&َnoَMBF)َ

“ِAnd Allah will not delay any person when their deadline comes”.ِ

َ ‫ّلل َخ ِّب‬

َ‫ٱّلل‬
َُ : Lafdul Jalaala 1st Raf’َ– Mubtada

‫ير‬
َ ِّ‫ َخب‬: fullyَawareََََ2َndَRaf’- Khabar

‫بِّ َما‬ : of whatever Jaar Majroor

َ‫ب‬
ِّ of HOJ

‫ ما‬whatever Ism Mowsool / Fi Mahalli Jarr MBK

ََ‫ تَ ْع َملُون‬: you all do Silatul Mowsool / َ‫ َسمِّ َع‬family

Fi’lَmudare ( to do) / Faa’il ‫( اَنت َُْم‬you all)

Note : Silatul Mowsool hasَnoَstatus.َItsَfreeَfromَRaf’/Nasb /Jarr

“ِAs Allah is fully aware of whatever you all do (will do)”.ِ

“ِ Andِ Allahِ willِ notِ delayِ anyِ personِ whenِ theirِ deadlineِ
comes, as Allah is fully aware of whatever you all do (willِdo)”.ِ

ّ َٰ ‫ق َوأَكُن ِمنَِ ٱل‬


َِ‫صلِحِ ين‬ ّ َ ‫فَأ‬
َِ ‫ص ّد‬ ِ ‫ى أَج‬
ِ‫َل قَ ِريب‬ ِٓ ِ‫ب لَ ْو َ َٓل أَ ّخ ْرتَن‬
ِٓ َٰ َ‫ى ِإل‬ ِِ ‫َوأَن ِفقُواِ مِ ن ّما َر َز ْق َٰنَكُم ِمن قَ ْب ِِل أَن يَأْت َِِى أَ َح َدكُ ُِم ٱ ْل َم ْوتُِ فَيَقُو َِل َر‬

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided
you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord,
if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give
charity and be among the righteous."

ّ َ ‫ى أَجَلِ قَ ِريبِ فَأ‬


َِ‫ص ّدق‬ ِٓ ‫ب لَ ْو َ َٓل أَ ّخ ْرتَن‬
ِٓ َٰ َ‫ِى إِِل‬ ِِ ‫فَيَقُو َِل َر‬

ِ‫ فَيَقُو َل‬: then he will say

َ‫ف‬ : can be Harf Atf (so) or ‫( الفاء السلبية‬in English : therefore/then/thus)

Note : If ‫ ف‬comesَinَaَmeaningَofَ‘therefore’ with a mudare then it is understood that there is َ‫ أن‬between


‫ & ف‬mudare

Like : َ‫يقُول‬+َ‫أن‬+‫ ف‬is that َ‫ أن‬is not seen but its effect is seen since it makes mudare light

So ‫ فَيَقُو َِل‬is actually ‫ول‬


َ ُ‫يق‬+َ‫أن‬+‫ف‬

َِ ‫َيأْ ِت‬
The other way to look at it is َ‫ ف‬Harf Atf (then) is continuing the effect of ‫ى‬ ‫ أَن‬so ‫ أن يأتي‬Is Ma’toofَonَ
َ‫ & يقُول‬not ‫ ف‬Sababiyyah (can be either one of them)

َ‫ أن‬carriesَtheَeffectَonَbothَtheَFi’lَmudareَ(َ‫ )يأتي &يقُول‬making both light.


ِ‫ب‬
ِ ‫ َر‬: My Master JF & Maqool Al Qawl begins from here

It’sََِّ‫ ر ِّبي‬but ‫ ي‬is dropped if situation is desperate

• Alsoَ‘Theَcalledَon’َ(Munaada)َ
• Ifَit’sَaَMudafَitsَNasbَif its not,َitsَRafَ‘
• It comes with a Harf of Nidaa (calling Harf : ‫ياايُّها‬/ ‫ يا‬or without it)
• Munaada is never a part of a sentence. It has no label. It stands alone!

Here no Harf & no ‫يا‬

Two things are taken away boz here the person is desperate to get their point across without using too
many words since they are running out of time. So brief word is used. Later it gets wordy as under.

ٓ‫ لَ ْو ََل‬: howَcomeَyouَdidn’tَjustَ

‫حضيض‬
ِّ ‫ حرف ت‬: whyَdon’tَyou….َ“‫َ”هال‬/َhow comeَyouَdidn’tَjust

Like encouraging to take some course of action /its an appeal / compel someone

‫ لوال‬adds another dimension, more wordy

ِ‫ أَ ّخ ْرتَن ِٓى‬: delay me

َ‫ أ َّخ َرت‬Fi’lَmaadiَ/َFaa’ilََ‫أنت‬ Maf’oolِbihiِ

‫ني‬ Maf’oolَbihi

ِ‫ى أَجَلِ قَ ِريب‬


ِٓ َٰ َ‫ ِإل‬: untill a deadline nearby

َ‫إلي‬ : until HOJ Jaar

َ‫أجل‬ : a deadline Majroor MBF

َ‫ق ِّريب‬ : nearby Mowsoof Sifah ّ َٰ ‫ٱل‬


Maqool Al Qawl continues till َِ‫صلِحِ ين‬

ِ‫ق‬ ّ َ ‫ فَأ‬: I would give charity
َ ‫ص ّد‬

َ‫‘ – ف‬Therefore’َ‫ الفاء السلبية‬so there is an invisible َ‫أن‬ between ‫ & ف‬mudare ‫َّق‬
َ ‫صد‬َّ

It also became light due to ‫ (أن‬light Harf)

It’sَMansoob (light) boz of ‫ أن‬understood after ‫ف‬


َ So its َ‫صدَّق‬
َّ ‫ أ‬+ ‫أن‬+َ‫ف‬

َ‫صدَّق‬
َّ ‫ أ‬lightَFi’lَmudareَ/َFaa’ilَ‫( انا‬I)

َ‫ تعلَّم‬family

Sarf :

ِ‫تَعَلّ َم‬ ِ‫يَتَعَ ّل ُم‬ ِ‫تَعَلِما‬


َِ‫ص ّدق‬ َ َ‫ت‬ َُ ‫يتصد‬
‫َّق‬ ‫تصد َُّقا‬
َِ‫&ص‬ َِ‫ ت‬became mushed
together & became
َِ‫ص ّدق‬ ّ َُ ‫صد‬
‫َّق‬ َّ ‫ي‬ َ‫صدُّقا‬
َّ

Similarly ‫ يَتَ َدب ُِّر‬: here ‫ تَِ & َِد‬gets


mushed up & becomes
‫يَ ّدب ُِّر‬

ِ‫ يَت ََزك ُّر‬becomes ‫يَزّ ك ُِّر‬

“ِThenِheِwillِsay,ِ“ِMyِMaster!!!ِHowِcomeِyouِdidn’tِjustِgive
me delay until some short deadline”,ِthenِIِwouldِgiveِcharity”.ِ

(Translation from Sahih International)

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided
you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord,
if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give
charity and be among the righteous."

ّ َٰ ‫ن ٱل‬
َ ‫ص ِل ِح‬
ِ‫ين‬ َِ ‫صدّقَِ َوأَكُن ِم‬
ّ َ ‫فَأ‬

ِ‫ق‬ ّ َ ‫ فَأ‬: why don’t you…..?


َ ‫ص ّد‬

‫ ف‬of reason

‫ ف‬Sababiyyah comes with a secret ‫( أن‬light mudare)

‫صدَّق‬
َّ ‫أ‬+ ‫أن‬+ ‫ف‬

‫َوأَكُن‬ : and I would be (Jumlah Ismiyyah begins)

‫ و‬Harf Atf : carries over the effect forward

‫ أكُن‬: lightest mudare

Mubtada : ‫ كان‬to be / Ism ‫ كان‬: is ‫أنا‬ (NO KHABAR)


Effect of ‫ و‬Harf Atf

Normal : ُ‫أكُون‬ ‫و‬ ُ‫صدَّق‬


َّ ‫أ‬

Light : ‫أكُون‬ ‫صدَّق و‬


َّ ‫أ‬

Lightest : ‫صدَّق و أكُون‬


َّ ‫أ‬

Becomes

: ‫أكُن‬

In Balaagha : the mixing of light & lightest is called ‫ ( احِ تِباك‬mix match / criss-cross)

Eg : Night & Day

Rest & Work

Night & Work : 2 words are used but means all 4

Eg from Qur’an :

The Sin / Crime of alcohol & gambling is greater than their benefit

Sin vs Good

Harm vs Benefit

Sin vs Crime : ‫احِ تِباك‬

Similarly there is ‫ احِ تِباك‬happening in the above Ayah :

‫صدَّق وأكُن‬
َّ ‫أ‬ ‫( ِإن أ َّخرت ِن‬Hope) if you gave me delay - here ‘if’ is lightest (IF/ THEN) Shart & Jawab Al Shart

‫صدَّق وأكُون‬
َّ ‫فأ‬ ‫( ِإن أ َّخرت ِن‬Blame) as a result I would give charity ( ‘Therefore’ – light mudare)

Here there is a criss - cross: Allah (SWT) is saying all 4 verbs at the same time.

Duality is created in ‫&أكُن‬ ‫صدَّق‬


َّ

4 things that are meant here

1) ‫ ف‬meaning : that had u given me delay then that would have been the reason to be charitable
& I would have been the reason to be from good people ( cause – meaning)

2) If you give me delay then I think I would be charitable & would be among the righteous too. (then
– possibility)

Jawab Al Shart can come with a ‫ف‬


َِ & if it does it can be light instead of lightest.

Eg: If you study, you will succeed.

Lightest Lightest ( in Arabic)

Eg: If you study, then you will succeed.

Lightest Light boz of ‫ ف‬Sababiyyah ( the reason for you to succeed due to ‫ ف‬Sababiyyah)

ِ‫ى أَجَلِ قَ ِريب‬ ِٓ ‫لَ ْو َ َٓل أَ ّخ ْرتَن‬


ِٓ َٰ َ‫ِى إِل‬ Shart

‫ق َوأَكُن‬ ّ َ ‫فَأ‬
َِ ‫ص ّد‬ Jawab Al Shart

There are 2 types of Jawab Al Shart (being used here)

‫صدَّق‬
َّ ‫فأ‬ َّ َّٰ ‫وأكُن مِن ٱل‬
‫صلِحِ ين‬

With ‫ ف‬Sababiyyah without ‫ ف‬Sababiyyah

(light) (lightest)

ّ َٰ ‫ ِمنَِ ٱل‬: from the righteous (possibility)
َِ‫صلِحِ ين‬

Jaar Majroor MBK (Jumlah Ismiyyah ends)

Translation :

“ِAnd spend from what we have provided you (all) much before
death comes to one of you. Thenِheِwillِsay,ِ“ِMyِMaster!!!ِHowِ
comeِyouِdidn’tِjustِgiveِmeِdelayِuntilِsomeِshortِdeadline,as
a result of which I would give some charity & I might even
become from the righteous ”.ِ

As a result of which : boz of ‫ ف‬Sababiyyah

I would give some : use of Assaddaqa vs Atasaddaqa

I might even : Jawab Al Shart – lightest (possibility/hope)
