TECHNICAL RIDER – SOUND

The clauses contained in the rider are intended to ensure that the Willington Island has all the necessary facilities to
present a performance of the best professional standard. If some clauses are not appropriate for your engagement,
compromises can be made only after prior approval of the band's sound engineer who can be contacted at

WILLINGTON ISLAND AUDIO TECH RIDER

System must consist of a Three-way or Four-way system with sufficient amplification and speaker enclosures to
cover the entire seating area (Venue’s Maximum Capacity) and be capable of min 115dB SPL at the console.
System shall have even coverage throughout the entire venue.
Directional sub-woofer patterns like line sub/ cardioid/ end-fired depending on the venue would be appreciated.
System should be flown whenever possible or elevated. System, if stacked, should be max 6 feet from main stage
(both left and right). This includes sound wings and anytime system is not flown.
Centre fills that match the main speakers should be provided as per the stage dimensions.
Console should be placed at front centre position from stage not more than 60ft. from sound system.
For venues that have mixing desks installed on or under balcony, we request for another mixing desk to be placed as
described in the previous point.
All processing must be made available to the FOH engineer for further processing if needed.
If the stage is open to the sky, some kind of temporary overhead shade needs to be provided, especially for drums
during sound check

1. Truss full box with 3 sub angles ( box as per stage size) Production Control:

The manager or bands representative shall maintain complete and total control over all aspects of the audio and lighting
systems and their usage. Band and their representatives assume no responsibility for damages to equipment or penalties
incurred for violations of applicable ordinances regarding sound or noise limitations.

Miscellaneous:

The sound, stage and lighting systems must be fully operational and patched in prior to bands load- in time. All outboard
gear, monitor mixes, and AC circuits must also be in place. A stage plot is provided for this purpose.

Production Company shall have enough mic stands and cables for the band.

Kindly inform the band if you are not able to meet any of the requirements mentioned in this rider for approval on
alternative arrangements.

Sound Check:

Sound check will be scheduled prior to the opening of doors. It shall not be limited as to length; doors will be held as
necessary to facilitate a proper sound check. Only working personnel will be allowed in venue during sound check unless
authorized by band’s representative. The stage will not be struck or moved after sound check except under the direction
of the production or stage manager. Channels on analog console will not be shared.
