I. Objectives:
1. Cognitive: Learners will be able to recognize and understand the
meanings of “Assalamu Alaikum” and “Wa Alaikumussalam” in street or
casual settings.
2. Affective: Learners will appreciate the role of these greetings in creating
a friendly and respectful atmosphere in everyday interactions.
3. Behavioral: Learners will practice using “Assalamu Alaikum” and “Wa
Alaikumussalam” in various street or casual conversation scenarios.

A. Preliminary Activities:
1. Drill:
Activity: Quick review of “Assalamu Alaikum” and “Wa
Alaikumussalam” in casual contexts.
Method: Use flashcards showing different street or casual scenarios
(e.g., meeting a neighbor, greeting someone at the market).
Students repeat the greetings and match them to the scenarios.
2. Review:
Activity: Discuss the importance of these greetings in daily
interactions.
Method: Talk about how these greetings can make casual
encounters more pleasant and respectful. Show pictures or
scenarios depicting casual greetings.
3. Motivation:
Activity: Show a short video clip or picture story illustrating
characters using “Assalamu Alaikum” and “Wa Alaikumussalam” in
street settings.
Method: Engage students by asking them what the characters are
doing and why greetings are important in these everyday situations.

Activity: Read or show a dialogue involving casual street
conversations where characters use greetings.

عندما مر بجانب. كان يوسف في طريقه إلى السوق،في أحد األيام
رأى جاره محمد يلعب مع أطفاله،حديقة.
محمد، "السالم عليكم:"!قال يوسف
يوسف، "وعليكم السالم:"!رد محمد مبتسًم ا
ذهب يوسف إلى السوق ووجد بائعة الفواكه،بعد ذلك.
هل لديك تفاح؟، "السالم عليكم:"قال يوسف
لدينا تفاح طازج، نعم، "وعليكم السالم:أجابت البائعة."
English Translation:
On the Street
One day, Yusuf was on his way to the market. As he passed by a
park, he saw his neighbor Muhammad playing with his children.
Yusuf said, “Assalamu Alaikum, Muhammad!”
Muhammad replied with a smile, “Wa Alaikumussalam, Yusuf!”
Later, Yusuf went to the market and found a fruit vendor.
Yusuf asked, “Assalamu Alaikum, do you have apples?”
The vendor answered, “Wa Alaikumussalam, yes, we have fresh
apples.”
Method: Emphasize how these greetings are used in everyday street
encounters, such as meeting neighbors or asking for help in public
places.
2. Performing the Activity (Differentiated Instruction):
Activity: Set up various street scenarios for students to role-play.
For example, greeting a neighbor, asking for directions, or buying
something from a street vendor.
Method: se props or simple costumes to make the scenarios
realistic. Students practice using the greetings in these roles.
4. Processing the Activity:
Activity: Facilitate a group discussion on how greetings in street
settings can enhance interactions and make them more pleasant.
Method: Encourage students to share their experiences from the
role-play and discuss why using these greetings is beneficial in
casual encounters.
3. Summarizing the Lesson:
Activity: Recap the key points of the lesson with a review game.
Method: lay a “Greeting Bingo” game where students match
scenarios with the correct greetings and responses or create a
visual summary of scenarios and appropriate greetings.
C. Assessment:
Direction: Students will demonstrate their understanding of the greetings
by matching them with appropriate street or casual contexts.
Street Conversation Matching Game
Scenario: Meeting a neighbor, asking for directions, buying
from a street vendor.
Greeting: Assalamu Alaikum
Response: Wa Alaikumussalam
Context: Students match each street scenario with the
