Dear digital missionaries, today we gather to celebrate World
Mission Sunday to remember our call to go into the world and
invite everyone to the banquet of the Kingdom. May this prayer
day renew our commitment to be missionary disciples, even in
digital spaces.

PENITENTIAL ACT
Let us begin this moment of prayer by recognizing our
weaknesses and lack of faith, asking the Lord for forgiveness:

+ Lord, You who are the Good Shepherd who tirelessly seeks the
lost sheep, have mercy on us for our indifference to Your call.

Lord, have mercy. (Heriberto responds)

+ Christ, You who send us to proclaim the Good News with joy
and tenderness, forgive us for the times we have acted harshly or
been discouraged in our mission.

Christ, have mercy. (Francesca responds)

+ Lord, You who call us to go beyond all borders, to invite

everyone to communion with You, forgive us for our lack of
missionary zeal.

Lord, have mercy. (Juan Camilo responds)

May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive our sins, and lead us
to eternal life.

LET US PRAY
God, loving Father, who never tires of inviting us to the banquet
of Your Kingdom, grant us a heart willing to follow Your Son’s
command to “go and invite.” May we be faithful disciples,
bringing Your love to all. Strengthen us in the mission to proclaim
Your Gospel with tenderness and mercy. Through our Lord Jesus
Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the
Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

GOSPEL READING:
From the Gospel according to Matthew
22:1-10

Jesus again spoke to them in parables, saying: "The kingdom of

heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his
son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the
banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come. Then he
sent more servants and said, 'Tell those who have been invited
that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle
have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the
wedding banquet.' But they paid no attention and went off—one
to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants,
mistreated them, and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent
his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding banquet is ready, but
those I invited did not deserve to come. So go to the street
corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.' So the
servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people
they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding
hall was filled with guests."

LET US PRAY TOGETHER
Dear brothers and sisters, as a missionary community, let us raise
our prayers to the Father with one heart and one soul, saying:
Lord, make us missionaries of Hope

1. For the universal Church, that with renewed creativity, it

may continue to reach out to everyone, inviting each person
to participate in the banquet of God’s Kingdom. Let us pray to
the Lord.
Lord, make us missionaries of Hope

2. For peace in the world, especially in regions affected by

conflicts and divisions, that faith in the one God may inspire
reconciliation, justice, and fraternity among all nations. Let us
pray to the Lord.
Lord, make us missionaries of Hope

3. For the fruits of the Synodal Assembly, that communion,

participation, and mission, moved by the Holy Spirit, may
renew all in the commitment to evangelize with joy and hope,
being a Church that goes forth. Let us pray to the Lord.

4. For new missionary vocations, that courageous and

generous young people may arise, willing to leave everything
to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth, both in person
and digitally. Let us pray to the Lord.

5. For the young people preparing to experience the

upcoming World Youth Day in Korea, that the Holy Spirit may
enlighten and guide them, strengthening their faith, and that
this encounter may be a time of spiritual renewal and
communion in the Church. Let us pray to the Lord.

 6. For missionaries working in contexts of persecution or
difficulty, that the Holy Spirit may strengthen them and fill
them with courage and hope in their mission to proclaim the
Gospel. Let us pray to the Lord.

7. For those who are distant from the faith or have lost
hope, that through the missionary witness of the Church, they
may find the path back to God’s love and a life of
communion. Let us pray to the Lord.

8. For the poor, the marginalized, and those who are

excluded, that they may find in the Church and in the mission
of Christ’s disciples, a welcoming community that eases their
spiritual and material sufferings. Let us pray to the Lord.

9. For our in-person and virtual communities that,

illuminated by the Holy Spirit, they may be places of
encounter and communion with God and others. May their
every activity be inspired by Jesus and moved to seek those
who do not know Him. Let us pray to the Lord.

10. For the fruits of the mission in digital spaces, that the
message of the Gospel may reach the people present in the
digital peripheries of the world with clarity and love, touching
the hearts of those who seek meaning and hope. Let us pray

the earth and grant us the grace to always be faithful to the mission

credible disciples, missionaries, and witnesses.

missionary journey place us on the Cross, so that we may
always be united to the Redemption of Your Son.

R:Place in our hearts the missionary zeal so that no one in
our networks remains unaware of God’s new Life.

Let us pray:
Lord Jesus, who wished to call countless sons and daughters
of Your Church to collaborate in the work of extending Your
Kingdom so that they may be messengers of Your love
among men and a living witness to Your charity:
Grant these missionaries who evangelize in the Digital
Continent "beyond borders" the grace to be tireless
apostles and to know how to listen to Your People.
Strengthen their faith, so that they may bear witness to
Your love, especially to those who do not believe in You,
and may they discover what the Spirit says to the
Church.
Increase their hope, so that they may spread joy and be
credible witnesses in their communities.
Ignite their charity, so that they may comfort those who
suffer and effectively help heal their wounds.
Grant them Your Holy Spirit and make them docile to His
inspirations, so that, abandoning their personal
securities, without fear and with creativity, they may go
out to meet those who are far from You.

Blessing
Holy Father, You who have manifested Your love to the
world through Your Son exalted on the Cross, bless these
Missionaries and Evangelizers, so that filled with the grace
received in Baptism and the mission entrusted by the
Church, they may faithfully carry out the mission of Christ’s
Church in the world, especially in digital spaces.
Through Christ, our Lord.
