Senate Hearing: Allegation of Mayor Alice Leal Guo
(Descriptive Essay)
The senate hearing revolves about Alice Leal Guo, a Mayor in Bamban, Tarlac
whose being accused of being a spy of a foreign country. Many questions were
asked however she claimed that she doesn’t remember much about her life. It was
stated in the hearing Mayor Alice Guo, is a lovechild of Antonio Guo, a Chinese and
Amelia Leal, a Filipino housekeeper of his father. However, after the birth certificates
were retrieve by the senator it turns out that she has half siblings. Upon checking on
these documents, noticing that their parents were married though the date of
marriage was different on each of these documents. In addition to that it contradicts
on what she said on the interview. Lacking and red flags are found out on the
handed birth certificates as stated on her birth certificate, that these people may or
may not even exist after disclosing to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) by not
having any records.
As the senate hearing continues, the senators confront Mayor Alice about the POGO
hub searched and built in her owned property. Denying the fact that she doesn’t
know anything about the assets of a foreign country whose spying her in the country
despite the issue nowadays in the South China Sea. Through the search of Alice
Guo, from her childhood and her connections who does not have any due diligence.
Also, the senators found out that she has connections in the west cars and have
business partner whose a fugitive Chinese. Additionally, it revealed that she owned a
helicopter and modern car and explained that she only borrowed the car for a car
show. On the other hand, the helicopter that was mentioned, she admitted that it’s
hers and she bought it to use it for her business. However, her planned business did
not go as she planned. Therefore, she sold it to a British company that was selling a
helicopter also. It was a bit odd that this company buy a second-hand helicopter.
Upon explicating all the documents that have been retrieve and handed by the
council of Mayor Alice Guo, they realized that there’s a possibility that her delayed
birth certificate is just made up from an outsider in the Philippine Statistics Authority
(PSA). So that these foreign people can built businesses her in the country freely
and can do almost everything what Filipino citizen can do.
To sum up the overall hearing, through the interview of Mayor Alice Guo, it was not
done yet since there were lot of questions as of now. Since, there were so many
lacking and red flags specifically on the birth certificate that was retrieve and other
documents that have been handed by her council. Explicating each of these will give
a question despite the issues that is happening right now between China.
Additionally, all the connections that have stated are needed to be investigated
properly for the protection of our country. Lastly, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
hoping that it cooperate and be investigated as well since it was mentioned in the
hearing that there might be a improper making of documents.
