This report includes the mobilisation and calibrations operations carried out by Enzen Global
Solutions Pvt Ltd., on the survey boat MB MAHALAXMI in preparation for commencement
of Multi Beam Bathymetry survey at Bakreswar Reservoir, Birbhum, West Bengal.

The mobilisation of the survey boat, installation and interfacing of the survey equipment was
started on 29th May 2023 and completed on 30th May at Bakreshwar Dam. The Multi-beam
echo sounder patch test calibration survey was conducted on 30th May.

2.1 Health, Safety & Environment Checks

Prior to sailing a safety induction was given by the party chief, detailing personnel
responsibilities in the event of an emergency, muster station locations and procedures, life
jacket locations, safety gear locations and procedures and signals for emergencies.
Additional life jackets were placed in work areas to provide easy access for working crew.

Back deck procedures were explained and followed with no single-man operations and all
non-essential personnel keeping clear of operations. Personnel Protection Equipment
included safety boots, personnel floatation device/ life jackets and cover-all’s for all personnel
involved in back deck operations.

3. Bathymetry Survey Methodology

The bathymetric study is the critical component of the site assessment study, which is used
for mapping the water body bed, depth contours providing the size, shape, and distribution
of underwater features. The bathymetric survey for the current study will be carried out using
multi-beam echo sounder.

3.1 Scope of Work

 To carry out bathymetry study using Real-Time Kinematic Differential GPS (RTK
DGPS) and Multi-beam high resolution echo sounder.

 Proposed grid size: Study lines will be spaced accordingly to the depth of water at
proposed study area to have a minimum overlap of 25% and 100% coverage of
underwater topography to obtain the contours output with the line interval of 10m X
10m.
