expression of models, utilizing summations and subscripted variables in an intuitive
manner, reminiscent of traditional pen-and-paper problem-solving methodologies.

Tableau is a well known BI tool used extensively for its data visualization features. It is
frequently utilized alongside other traditional BI tools. Analysts use this tool for its data
exploration capabilities through SQL and other data crafting solutions. This in turn
empowers business decision-makers to analyze data seamlessly without the need for
coding expertise.

Dr. Aalok Kumar has been awarded PhD in Operations Management


from Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India and MTech. in Industrial
Management from IIT (BHU) Varanasi with Gold Medal. His PhD work
also received the “Excellence in Doctoral Research Award” from IIT
Roorkee. During his PhD, he has been also awarded with prestigious
Newton-Bhabha fellowship (jointly awarded by British Council UK
and DST India) at the University of Sussex, UK, and Queen Elizabeth
Visiting Fellowship at the University of Regina, Canada (awarded by
Government of Canada). Prior to IIMV, he was working with Jaipuria
Institute of Management Lucknow in Operations Management area.
His research interests are in multimodal logistics planning, data-
Dr. Aalok Kumar driven logistics operations in Industry 4.0 era, electric vehicles-based
PhD (IIT Roorkee) freight mobility, and resilient logistics system. His research work has
appeared in top journals of Operations and Management Science,
such as Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice,
Transport Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Journal of
Enterprise Information Management, among others. He has also
participated in EURO Winter School at the University of Padova, Italy,
and presented paper in various conferences such as POMS USA,
EURO Europe, DSI USA, SOM India, GLOGIFT India, and IEOM Society
USA.

Prof. Sarma has obtained his PhD and MBA (Technology


Management) from IIT Delhi. Before joining, he was associated with
IIM Raipur. He comes with a rich Industry, teaching, administrative
and Project experience and was previously Professor In-charge of
Administration & CAO, Professor In-charge of Infrastructure &
Facilities, Chair of PGP, PGPWE, Executive Education Programs,
Student Affairs, First Appellate Authority (RTI 2005).

His research interests lie in the areas of I-4.0 - LSS and Circular
Economy.

Dr. P R S Sarma Prior to joining Academics, Dr. Sarma has worked in C-DoT (A
PhD (IIT Delhi) Telecom Technology Centre for Govt. of India) and
Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (A Govt. of India
Enterprise).

Dr. Sarma, has more than 32 years of Experience in which more than
20 years of wide and varied industry experience in field of
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Teaching,
Training & Consultancy Telecom and Information technologies,
Feasibility study – preparation of techno-commercial proposals,
Business Development, Project Management, Project Logistics,
Supply Chain Management, Client Relationship development and
Maintenance, Documentation, and Material Management. On
individual assignments viz., Project Management, Project report
preparation, Feasibility analysis, Project execution etc. visited several
