Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA), a Miniratna-I & Schedule ‘A’ CPSE, formerly known
as Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), is a wholly owned Government of India
Enterprise under Ministry of Power. It is a knowledge-based Organization of national importance,
responsible for managing the power system operations - a mission critical activity, with security,
economy and reliability.
GRID-INDIA ensures equitable use of Transmission Infrastructure and has invested significantly in its
human capital and towards strengthening the whole power system faculty by adopting a multi-
disciplinary approach with state of the art technology. It operates the National Load Despatch Centre and
the five Regional Load Despatch Centres. Presently, GRID-INDIA is located in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata,
Bangalore, Guwahati and Shillong.
GRID-INDIA is looking for Bright, Committed and Energetic Engineers to join its fold as EXECUTIVE
TRAINEES in the discipline of Electrical.
VACANCIES & RESERVATION
The number of vacancies to be filled up through GATE-2025 is 37 (tentative). The final number of
vacancies, along with the category-wise break-up (also comprising of backlog vacancies) and reservation
details shall be indicated separately in the notification to be published on our website under Careers
section. However, reservation shall be provided to OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD candidates depending
on the number of vacancies and as per Govt. of India Directives.
Posts identified for different subcategories of PwBD (as per Govt. of India Notification) is indicated
below –
a) Hearing Handicapped.
b) Orthopedically Handicapped (One Leg/One Arm), Dwarfism. Also includes Acid Attack victims
and Leprosy Cured persons with the above disabilities.
c) Combination of (a) and (b) above.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
a) Qualified in the GATE 2025 – Candidates desirous of applying shall appear in the Electrical
Engineering (EE) paper of GATE-2025 and Qualify the same. The qualifying marks shall be as

Final Year / Semester students who expect their final results by 14.08.2025 are also eligible,
provided they have obtained 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/ years up
to pre-final examination in bachelor’s degree/ IDD (Integrated Dual Degree).
RELAXATIONS & CONCESSIONS
1. Reservation/ relaxation/ concession to OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwBD/ Ex–SM/ Victims of riots
shall be as per Government of India directives.
2. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant benchmark disability shall only be eligible
for the benefit for PwBD.
3. For availing EWS Reservation, the conditions and format of the Certificate will be followed as per
DOPT office Memorandum No. 36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res) Dated 31st January, 2019.
4. Relaxation in Marks in essential qualification for SC/ST/PwBD candidates: Qualifying marks
are relaxed to pass marks for posts reserved for the respective category.
5. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
a) For OBC-NCL candidates : 3 years (for posts reserved for the respective category)
b) For SC/ST candidates : 5 years (for posts reserved for the respective category)
c) For PwBD candidates : 10 years over and above category relaxation
d) Ex- Servicemen/ Victims of riots : As per Govt. of India directives
6. Reservation/ Relaxation / Concession for SC / ST will be subject to submission of relevant Caste
Certificate in the prescribed format issued by a Competent Authority at the time of interview, if
called for.
7. Relaxation / Concession for Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of riots will be subject to submission of
relevant Age relaxation cum Domicile certificate /Discharge certificate etc. in the prescribed format
issued by a Competent Authority at the time of interview, if called for.
8. Reservation and Relaxation for OBC-NCL will be subject to submission of a copy of the latest
OBC-NCL certificate in the format prescribed by the Govt. of India for “Appointment to posts
under Govt. of India” from a Competent Authority at the time of interview, if called for.
9. Reservation / Relaxation / Concession for Persons with Benchmark Disability is subject to
submission of medical certificate in prescribed format in support of disability issued by the
Government Medical Board at the time of interview, if called for.

10. Candidates working in GRID-INDIA are advised to refer to Internal Circular before filling up the
application.
SELECTION PROCESS
The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper
of GATE-2025, Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI). Eligible candidates will have to
appear in the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper of GATE-2025.
Candidates qualified in the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper of GATE-2025 shall be eligible to be
considered for the next stage of selection. Qualifying marks in GATE-2025 shall be as decided by
GATE-2025 Organizing Institute.
Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based
on their normalized marks out of 100 in corresponding paper of GATE-2025 i.e. Electrical
Engineering (EE). Candidates shall obtain information about their status through their candidate login at
GRID-INDIA’s Online Application System. Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their Group
Discussion & Personal Interview call letter and other relevant documents through the candidate login.
Candidates shortlisted for GD and PI may also have to undergo Behavioral Assessment, the results of
which shall be used only as an input during the interview and the Assessment will not have any Qualifying
Marks.
It is mandatory for candidates to appear in all aforementioned selection processes and also qualify in the
Personal Interview in order to be considered eligible for final shortlisting.
The qualifying % in interview for different categories are as mentioned below –

Group discussion will not have any Qualifying Marks.
Shortlisted candidates shall be required to bring the documents, as mentioned in their call letter, at the
time of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Weightage of Different Parameters
For calculation of final score of a candidate for empanelment, the weightages of marks obtained in
GATE-2025, Group Discussion and Interview shall be as indicated below:

Empanelment of Candidates
Candidates who qualify in the Personal Interview will only be adjudged suitable for empanelment.
Therefore, it is reiterated that candidates who have qualified in GATE-2025 shall have to qualify Personal
Interview separately in order to be considered eligible for empanelment.
Please note that only GATE-2025 score (Normalized Marks out of 100) is valid for this
recruitment process. GATE score of 2024 or prior is not valid.
The offer of appointment shall be issued to the suitable candidates in the order of category wise merit and
based on the requirement. Selected candidates shall be notified through their candidate login in the online
application system.
Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in the Pre -
Employment Medical Examination to be conducted as per GRID-INDIA’s Norms and Standards of
Medical Fitness.
“The Management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and/or to conduct
a screening test, to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Group Discussion & Personal
Interview, if so required.”
The decision of GRID-INDIA regarding scrutiny of application and shortlisting shall be final and binding.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE
The Corporation offers a very attractive pay package which is one of the best in the Industry. The
Corporation also offers excellent facilities like Short and long term Loans & Advances including House
Building Advance, Medical facilities for self and dependents etc. in accordance with the policies of the
Corporation from time to time.
Selected candidates will be placed at E2 level in the pay scale of ₹50000-160000/- IDA for a period of one
year for On-The-Job Training (OJT) and other allowances and benefits will be paid as applicable. Upon
successful completion of training, the Executive Trainees will be regularized at E2 level in the pay scale of
₹50000-160000/- IDA. The training period can be extended on the basis of performance evaluation or at the
discretion of the Management (if necessary).
Upon regularization, the compensation package will also include Performance Related Pay, Company
Leased Accommodation / Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure,
mobile facility, Group Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, PF, Gratuity, Pension, Leave encashment,
other allowances & benefits etc. as applicable.

SERVICE AGREEMENT BOND
The selected candidates (Executive Trainees) will be required to execute a service agreement bond to
successfully complete the prescribed training period and thereafter serve the organization for at least three
years. The amount of the bond is INR 1,00,000/- for General/ OBC-NCL/EWS candidates and INR 50,000/-
for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION/ APPLICATION
1. Candidates must appear and qualify in the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper of GATE-2025.

3. Application window for GRID-INDIA shall be opened after declaration of GATE-2025 results by
the Organizing Institute. A separate notification for the same shall be issued on GRID-INDIA
website after the declaration of GATE-2025 results. Candidates have to register themselves online
at GRID-INDIA website with details of their GATE-2025 Application Number, GATE-2025
Registration Number, GATE-2025 Score and other required information, which will be made
available at Careers section of GRID-INDIA website - https://grid-india.in
4. Candidates are required to login to candidate login section and then deposit non-refundable
application fees of Rs. 500/- through online mode only. O N L Y on the submission of
application fees, application process will be treated as complete. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-
SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees. Candidates are
required to show their GATE-2025 application form, GATE-2025 Admit card and GATE-2025
Score card for verification at the time of Group Discussion/ Personal Interview/ Joining at GRID-
INDIA.
5. Candidates are not required to send any hard copy of application to GRID-INDIA. In-complete
applications/ applications without application fees (if applicable) will be rejected.
GENERAL INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS
1. Only Indian Nationals of age 18 years or above are eligible to apply for GRID-INDIA.
2. Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other
norms mentioned in this advertisement.
3. Essential qualification should be recognized in India and from a recognized Institution or
University.
4. Candidates will have the option for appearing in English and Hindi for GD/ Interview.
5. Candidates selected in GRID-INDIA are liable to be posted anywhere in India and Abroad as per
Organizational requirement and discretion of the Management. Currently, vacancies are for all the
locations of GRID-INDIA.

6. No request for change in posting shall be entertained for the first 5 years from the date of joining as
Executive Trainee. Only the candidates willing to serve at any of the above locations may apply.
7. Management reserves the right to cancel/ restrict/ enlarge/ modify/ alter the recruitment/ selection
process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter.
8. Date of issuance of final mark sheet shall be taken as the date of acquiring qualification.
9. Wherever CGPA/OGPA/DGPA or Letter Grade in a degree / diploma is awarded, its equivalent
percentage of marks must be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by University/
Institute.
10. Percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in the bachelor’s degree/ IDD (Integrated Dual
Degree) shall be calculated based on the practice followed by the university/institution from where
the candidate has obtained the degree. In case the candidates are awarded grades/ CGPA instead of
marks, the conversion of grades/ CGPA to percentage of marks shall be based on the procedure
certified by the university/institution from where they have obtained the bachelor’s degree.
In case the university/ institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent
marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum
possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.
11. Candidates working in Govt. Organizations/ PSUs are required to produce “No Objection
Certificate” at the time of Interview.
In case any candidate is unable to route his/ her application through proper channel or produce No
Objection Certificate at the time of interview, he/ she will have to submit a declaration stating that
in case he/ she is selected in GRID-INDIA for the given post, he/ she will be agreeable to forego
the benefits of carry forward of leave, gratuity etc. and he/ she will have to produce his/ her Final
Relieving letter from his/ her earlier Govt. Company/ Govt. Department/ other Govt. Organization
at the time of joining the services of GRID-INDIA.
12. Candidates claiming reservation under OBC-NCL should belong to OBC- Non creamy layer as on
last date of online submission of application to GRID-INDIA.

16. Mere appearance in GATE-2025 or submission of application to GRID-INDIA does not guarantee
the adequacy of candidature for being considered for further selection process.
17. Complaints attributable to the incompatibility of the Client Systems, ignorance of users, non-
availability of internet connectivity or any other aspects beyond the direct control of GRID-INDIA
employees or systems will not be entertained.
