Star Wars Day is May 4th. May the fourth be with you! May 5th is Revenge of the Fifth Day. Yoda is a
wise character. He speaks with an ancient dialect reminiscent of Shakespeare and even the Bible! Here
are some Yoda quotes in his Yodish style of speaking from different episodes in the Star Wars Movie
saga. Turn them around into a more modern language structure (subject, verb, object). Rewrite the
sentences on your own paper.

The following are suggested answers based upon the skill level for students with limited knowledge of
syntax. Some sentences have had words added or have been turned into two separate sentences, so as
not to confuse students with the addition of complex punctuation. Other sentences have had more
complex punctuation added, such as dashes or commas separating dependent clauses. You may alter
the answers to suit the skill level of your targeted students.
