I.OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson the students can:

a.define the Rationale of the new social studies


b.appreciate the importance of rationale of the new social and aspect

II.ACTIVITY

POP THE BALLON


Directions: the teacher will throw the balloon into the room and the student should pass to there
classmate continually until the teacher will said to stop and after they stop the balloon into the student.
They need to pop the balloon to answer the questions.

-the rational of the new social studies critical curriculum reflect a response to the evolving of society,
advancement in educational theory, and the complexities of the modern world. Here are the same

-The new social studies curriculum emphasize and an interdisciplinary approach, integrating
history, geography, economics, political, science and sociology, allows students to understand
the interconnected mess of issue and promotes critical, thinking.
•CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
-A Focus on civic education, encourage students to become informed and active citizens. The
curriculum fosters skills, such a ass, critical inquiry, debate and understanding, civic
responsibilities, preparing students to participate thoughtfully and democratic process.

•CULTURAL RELEVANCE
-The curriculum aims to be inclusive and representative to diverse cultures and
representatives. These relevance help student connect their own experience to murder,
social, contents and promote empathy and understanding about different groups.
•CRITICAL THINKING AND INQUIRY-BASED LEARNING
-The new approach emphasizes skills such as analysis ,evaluation ,and synthesis of
information.Inquiry-based learning fosters curiosity and enables students to engage with
complex social issues, developing their ability to ask question and seek out answers.

-In an increasingly interconnected world, the curriculum encourages student to think globally
about social issues, including human rights, environmental challenges and economic
disparities.
•TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION
-The role of technology in learning and social interaction.It incorporates digital literacy,
teaching students to navigate and critically assess information from various media sources.

•FOCUS ON THE SKILSS FOR THE FUTURE


-Emphasizing skills such as a collaboration,communication, and problem solving prepares
students not only for academic success but also for the workforce and lifelong learning.

engagement that allows student to apply to learning to challenge.

SUMMARY
-The rationale behind the new social studies curriculum is to prepare students not just to understand
the world, but to engage with it actively and thoughtfully.It prioritizes critical thinking, inclusivity, global
awareness, and civic engagement, aligning education with the needs of contemporary society.

IV.FINAL ACTIVITY

•Battle of the Bottle

Directions :The teacher well divided the group into 2 groups and after the teacher divided the group
they should proceed their own respective group and form a line.the mechanics of the game is they need
to flip the battle to stand, and after they flip the battle to stand, they can proceed to the next level,
which is they can go to the front and answer the questions provide the teacher.
