Support and Operations Engineer

Your responsibilities
• Utilise Ansible for configuration management, automation of repetitive tasks,
and orchestration of complex processes.
• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring their reliability, security,
and performance.
• Work with Jira and Opsgenie for issue tracking, incident management, and
workflow automation.
• Utilize Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring, alerting, and visualization of
system performance and health.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve
technical issues.
• Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvement,
implementing best practices to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Take ownership of projects and tasks, demonstrating a high level of
accountability and attention to detail.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating new
tools and techniques into the workflow where applicable.

Qualifications
• Strong experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Jira and Opsgenie for issue tracking and incident management.
• Knowledge of Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring and visualization.
• Scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Self-motivated individual with a hunger for automation and process
improvement.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively in a
fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and
proactiveness in problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration
tools like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
