Gauge
As this is a measurement-based pattern, the gauge may differ across yarn and
hook sizes. In all gauges, your ribbing hook size should be 1.0 mm smaller than
the body's hook size. This pattern uses a front and back panel, so keep your
gauge consistent.

Measurements
How to get your Front & Back Panel WIDTH measurements:
1. Take your bust measurement and divide it in half.
Front
2. Transfer 2-3 inches from one half to the other.
3. The wider measurement becomes the Front Panel. Back
Having a shorter Back Panel is the secret to a fitted bralette!
Play with these measurements to your preferred fit!
How to get your Front & Back Panel LENGTH measurements:
Without stretch, your panels should begin 1-2 inches below
your armpit and end 1-1.5 inches below your bust. An
additional inch will be added after the ribbing! Feel free to
adjust these measurements to your liking.

Measurement Guide
Use this as a guide rather than a strict rule.
Sample top and measurements are based on a size XS.

Width (widest / with ribbing) Length (before / after ribbing)

XXS = 12.5 in / 10.5 in XXS = 5.0 in / 6.0 in
XS = 13 in / 11 in XS = 5.5 in / 6.5 in
S = 14 in / 12 in S = 6.5 in / 7.5 in
M = 15 in / 13 in M = 7.5 in / 8.5 in
L = 16 in / 14 in L = 8.5 in / 9.5 in
XL = 17 in / 15 in XL = 9.5 in / 10.5 in
XXL = 18 in / 16 in XXL = 10.5 in / 11.5 in

the numbers! These were based off my proportions, and it may differ from yours.

Front Panel: Part 1
Notes
Every row ends in a DC, and every row begins with a SC.
Always place your double crochets in the single crochets of the
previous row, and vice versa.
Don't forget your turning chain at the end of every row!
The CH1 or turning chain does not count as the first SC.

Adjustment Tips!
Want a LOOSER/TIGHTER fit?
Add/substract your foundation chain.
Want a LONGER/SHORTER length?
Add/subtract rows until your desired length.

Foundation Chain: Ch any odd number of stitches until it stretches

comfortably to your desired width. The last Ch is your turning st.

Row 1: SC in the 2nd Ch from hook, DC in the next st. * SC, DC *

Repeat from * to * across. Ch 1, to.
Row 2: SC in first st (DC of previous row), DC in the next st. * SC, DC *
Repeat from * to * across. Ch 1, to.

Repeat Row 2 until desired length. Cut your yarn with sewing allowance.

Front Panel: Part 2
Notes
Rows ending with DC2TOG begin with DC2TOG, likewise with SC2TOG.
Always place your DCs in the SCs of the previous row, and vice versa.
A SC2TOG or DC2TOG counts as one stitch.

Adjustment Tips!
Want a LONGER length after decreasing?
Add non-decreasing rows until your desired length.

Insert your hook around one and a half (1.5) to two (2) inches from the
Front Panel's edge, or in your desired space, Ch 1 (turning stitch).
This ideally starts around the front of your armpit area.
The total number of stitches per row should remain even.
The first st should be in the same st your hook entered in.
Optional: Use stitch markers to make sure you're beginning and ending Part 2
on the right stitches! They should be of equal distance from the panel edges.
If you insert your hook in the SC of the previous row, then you will start with
SC2TOG and vice versa.

If your st begins with a SC:

Row 1: S2TOG, DC in the next st. * SC, DC *
Repeat from * to * until the last two sts. DC2TOG, Ch 1, to.
Row 2: DC2TOG, SC in the next st,* DC, SC *
Repeat from * to * until the last two sts. SC2TOG, Ch 1, to.

If your st begins with a DC:

Row 1: DC2TOG, SC in the next st. * DC, SC *
Repeat from * to * until the last two sts. SC2TOG, Ch 1, to.
Row 2: SC2TOG, DC in the next st. * SC, DC *
Repeat from * to * until the last two sts. DC2TOG, Ch 1, to.

Repeat Row 1 and 2 until desired length.

Bustier or taller figures may want additional, non-decreasing rows.

DC on the SC2TOG or SC on the DC2TOG of previous row. Place a SC on the
row's previous DC and a DC on the row's previous SC. Continue to *SC, DC*
or*DC, SC* across. Ch 1, to.
End your Front Panel Part 2 on an even row (in total). Cut the yarn.

Back Panel
Notes
Every row ends in a DC, and every row begins with a SC.
Always place your double crochets in the single crochets of
the previous row, and vice versa.
Don't forget your turning chain at the end of every row!
The Back Panel width should be a few inches shorter than the
front panel, to your comfort or desired fit.

Foundation Chain: Ch any odd number of stitches until it stretches

comfortably to your desired width. The last Ch is your turning st.

Row 1: SC in the 2nd Ch from hook, DC in the next st. * SC, DC*
Repeat from * across. Ch 1, to.
Row 2: SC in first st (DC of previous row), DC in the next st. * SC, DC*
Repeat from * across. Ch 1, to.

Repeat Row 2 until desired length.

End your Back Panel on an even row.
This panel should end at the same length as your Front Panel: Part 1.
Cut the yarn with sewing allowance.
Sewing Front and Back
Notes
I recommend beginning at the top of the panel going down to the
bottom with the foundation chain!
I recommend sewing things closed with a yarn needle as it's
smoother and more seamless, and helps with the ribbing later.
If you're using the slip stitch method,, don't cut the yarn just yet!
Be careful not to sew too tight, the ribbing will bring the bottom of
the bralette tighter together.

Put the Front and Back panels together right sides facing each other.
Sew together the Front and Back panels.

Method One: With a Yarn Needle

Use a yarn needle to thread the two sides together, going from the
panel closest to you ("bottom" of the two panels) to the one
farther from you ("top"), then repeat.

Method Two: Slip Stitch

Insert your yarn into the stitch at the end of the row, Ch 1 (not
counted as the first st). Sl st the two panels together, one sl st per
row, and an additional sl st on the foundation chain.
Tip: The number of sl sts should be the number of rows + foundation
chain of your bralette.

Straps
Notes
Both straps are done in one long action without cutting the yarn
until both straps are finished.
This is worked from the first (left shoulder) strap, then along the the
Front Panel, and then the second (right shoulder) strap.
For added support or personal preference, you may opt to use a SC
or HDC instead of a Sl St. Keep in mind that you may have to adjust
for a longer or more stretched out strap (meaning less chains).

Right side facing you, insert your hook into the Front Panel's last row and chain.
This should correspond to the left shoulder, which ended at an even row.

Chain until it comfortably stretches to your desired length and placement within
the back panel.
Tip: Put the bralette on so you know where you'd like to place the straps!
Optional: Use stitch markers to indicate where you would like to place your
straps! Both sides should have an equal distance/stitch count.

Sl st the chain to your desired stitch placement, make sure strap isn't twisted.
Sl st back along the chain.
SC along the Front Panel's last row.
Chain the same number of chains as your first strap.
Sl st the chain to your desired stitch placement, sl st back along the chain.
Sl st on the last SC's body (not the V/stitch, but on the side).

Ribbing
Notes
Don't forget to switch to a smaller hook size!
I recommend beginning the ribbing along the seams
(where the front and back were sewn together).
The Ch 1 at the end of Row 2 is a turning chain, and not
counted as a stitch.

Adjustment Tips!
Want a LONGER/SHORTER ribbing?
Add/subtract chains on your ribbing's foundation chain.

Begin with the right side is facing you.

Insert your hook into any st of the foundation chain. Ch 6.

Row 1: SC on BLO on the 2nd ch from the hook, SC on BLO across the next
4 sts, sl st in the next 2 sts of the foundation chain, to
Row 2: Skip the 2 sl sts of the previous row, SC on BLO in the next 4 sts,
SC in both loops, Ch 1, to
Row 3: SC on BLO in the next 5 sts, sl st in the next 2 sts of the foundation
chain, to

Repeat Row 2 and Row 3 until you reach your starting point of ribbing.
Sl st the ribbing closed right sides together.

Weave in all your ends with a tapestry needle.
