Health”. My subtitle is “Strategies for
Maintaining Well-being in a Digital World”.

Now we are going to understand “What is
Social Media and Why Does It Matter?”
Social media: An online platform for
communication and the exchange of data.
Platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, and
Snapchat are some examples where we
share and see photos and videos.
Why It’s Important: Helps us stay
connected and updated with our
surroundings and the things far from us
and can get to know that what’s
happening in the other part of the world.
Slide 3
Benefits of Social Media.
Connectivity: Facilitates us by staying
connected with friends and family globally
and does not make us feel alone.
E.g.: You are in abroad for your story and your
family & friends are in India then social media
helps you to stay connected with them.
Networking: It gives us opportunities for jobs
or if u want to start a new business and u
don’t know which business to start so u can
take help of social media.
• Share Fun Moments: Post pictures and
videos of fun activities.
• Learn New Things: Find interesting facts
about different things.

Challenges with Social Media.
Too Much Time: Spending too long online
can take away your homework time or
playing outside time which will affect your
happiness.
Mean Comments: Negative or hurtful
messages can affect how we feel. When
sometimes somebody comments
negatively on your post so you as
disappointed.
Slide 5
Signs of Overuse
◦ More Screen Time: If you’re spending
more time on social media than doing
other activities then you are harming your
self as u are making your self lazy.
◦ Feeling Upset: If you feel unhappy or after
being online that also means u use it too
much so try to use as less as u can social
media.
◦ Neglecting Responsibilities: If you’re not
doing your homework or chores because
of social media.

How to Use Social Media Smartly?
• Set Time Limits: Decide how long you
will use social media each day.
• Take Breaks: Spend time doing other
activities like playing outside or reading.
Today, I want to touch on our feelings
about social media and its impact on our
relationships with friends and family.
Social media has revolutionized how we
connect, enabling us to share moments
instantly and stay in touch across great
distances. It’s incredible to see photos,
updates, and messages from loved ones
anytime we want.
Yet, this constant connectivity has its
complexities. On the one hand, it can make
us feel closer to those far away. On the
other, it can sometimes lead to feelings of
isolation or inadequacy when we compare
our lives to the carefully curated images of
others.
The key is to use social media mindfully.
Let’s appreciate it as a tool to enhance our
relationships, but not let it replace the
depth of face-to-face interactions. By
fostering genuine connections both online
and offline, we can maintain strong,
supportive relationships with those who
matter most.
• Be Kind: Only post nice things and be
friendly to others online.

be used in a way that keeps us happy and
healthy.

media but also take time for other
activities.
