THE NATURE OF MATHEMATICS
We can find many patterns and regularities in the world we
live in as we constantly cross our paths. When we wake up in
the morning, we do a bunch of tasks: we count the number of
tablespoons of coffee or milk we can drink to start the day; we
plan our day by writing down the tasks we need to complete
and arranging them by the time we should complete them; and
other more. Those that I have mentioned are already
considered as patterns since counting and patterns correspond
with each other. When a pattern emerges, counting takes
place. Number patterns like 5, 10, 15, and 20 were taught to us
when we first started school. A fundamental pattern that
everyone is familiar with is the number of days in a week,
weeks in a month, and months in a year. Whereupon, we were
taught about the various regular holidays and months that we
witness in a predefined pattern every year. With all of this
knowledge and insight, we can say with certainty that
mathematics is essential to our existence. We inadvertently
apply mathematical ideas to everyday situations which make
our lives easier. Some of us may have questions about how we
can use mathematics in our professions, whether we work as
janitors, teachers, lawyers, or in other fields. Actually,
mathematics is more than just figuring out different equations
and functions. It also offers a productive technique for
developing mental rigor and promotes logical thinking.
Additionally, it aids in problem-analysis and -solving skills,
which are valued by most employers. Mathematics also
teaches other crucial skills like how to methodically approach
problems, think critically, and develop understanding.
THE NATURE OF MATHEMATICS
Mathematics may be difficult for some of us to understand,
but it is still unquestionably important to us. It is extremely
challenging for humans to become analytical thinkers if we
separate math from our everyday lives. Furthermore, it would
be impossible to measure anything, read clocks, make phone
calls, and do a variety of other tasks. This world will be in
complete chaos, with many problems remaining unanswered.
Mathematics requires both reasoning and creativity, and it is
developed for both pragmatic and fundamental reasons. It
uncovers underlying patterns that aid in our comprehension of
the outside world. Moreover, it is a broad field that engages
with scientific data, measurement methods, and analyses as
well as assertion, logic, and concrete evidence. It also relates
with mathematical methods of natural events, human
psychology, and social processes. It is demonstrated in natural
language and symbolized in natural discourse using particular
terminology and symbolism. It has intrinsic value and serves as
a fund for expertise for its proper development. It also
functions as a structure for the representation of other sciences
and as a model for philosophy. Regardless of different
professions, we still utilize mathematical concepts on a daily
basis. It is the only language that all people, regardless of
culture, religion, gender, or age, can engage in. Mathematics
has an impact on you and the activities you do every day,
regardless of whether you're a student, employee, or just an
ordinary man in society. However, Mark Karadimos (2018)
asserts that a variety of professions employ mathematics in the
nature and scope of their job.

These professionals include lawyers, managers, medical
doctors, meteorologists, military personnel, nurses, politicians,
salespeople, technicians, and tradesmen. They also include
accountants, agriculturalists, architects, computer
programmers, engineers, lawyers, and managers.
In conclusion, mathematics is a discipline that is extremely
beneûcial to everyone and plays a crucial role in everyone's
life. Even if some people struggle to understand or solve
complex equations, they nonetheless use mathematical
principles inadvertently. Indirectly odirectly, it inüuences
everything we do and wherever we go.
