Speech about IQBAL DAY
Honourable Principal, respected teachers and my dear school fellows:
Assalamualaikum!
Today,I am here to present a speech on 9th November,Iqbal Day.
نہ تو زمیں کے لیے ہے نہ آسماں کے لیے
جہاں ہے تیرے لیے تو نہیں جہاں کے لیے
Dear Audience!
On November 9th every year, we remember a special day when a child
was born in Sialkot. This child, Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, had a
unique soul and a deep understanding of the world. He had a curious
mind that explored the mysteries of our ever-changing world and looked
beyond the blue skies to uncover the secrets of eternity.
Iqbal had a unique, graceful and beautiful style of poetry both in Urdu
and Persian languages. No doubt he didn‟t write poetry for
the sake of poetry but to improve the status of man particularly the
Muslims of the subcontinent.
Dear All!
Allama Iqbal's vision for a separate homeland for Muslims laid the
foundation for the creation of Pakistan. He believed in the
empowerment of the individual, the importance of education, and the
preservation of cultural heritage.
Dear fellows!
Iqbal Day is not just a day to remember a great poet, but also an
opportunity to embrace the ideals he espoused.
On this day, let us renew our commitment to the principles that Allama
Iqbal held dear. Let us be inspired by his poetry and philosophy to
create a better future for ourselves and for generations to come.I end my
speech on these lines:
Iqbal gave the message of peace and love
He wanted us be as innocent as a dove
There is all around war terror and bloodshed
Let us make the world, green , but not red.
Thankyou!
