ABSTRACT

This thesis explores the redevelopment of vedvyas temple complex, incorporating

crematoriums, ghats, and cultural heritage. Temples serve as vital community hubs,
yet many face neglect and inadequate infrastructure. This research proposes a
holistic approach, considering spiritual, practical, and cultural aspects. By
examining case studies and community input, it advocates for inclusive design and
sustainable practices. Through this, the study aims to enhance public welfare,
religious tourism, and community cohesion while preserving sacred traditions and
architectural heritage.

Using a mix of surveys, site assessments, and stakeholder consultations, the

research identifies opportunities to improve visitor experiences and preserve
cultural heritage. It suggests measures such as infrastructure upgrades, cultural
events, and community engagement initiatives to attract tourists while respecting
the sanctity of the site.

By enhancing tourism, the thesis aims to stimulate economic growth, create jobs,
and empower local communities. It underscores the importance of balancing
development with cultural preservation to ensure sustainable progress and enrich
the spiritual and economic fabric of Vedvyas and its surroundings.
