Professor Name: Prof. Mary Sanders

The decisions I made?

1. Determined that the problems associated with inaccurate readings using the GlucoGauge

monitor were due to components of the device malfunctioning in the field.

2. Allocated emergency marketing expenditure to update packaging instructions and initiate

communication campaigns with healthcare professionals.

3. Advised users to switch the test strip brand to mitigate inaccuracies.

4. Worked with the engineering team to investigate and understand customers' difficulties

syncing their glucose meters to their smartphones.

5. Crafted an opening statement for a press conference addressing the situation.

Why I made each of my decisions?

1. Based on the information provided and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, I

concluded that component malfunction was the root cause of the issue.

2. Allocation of expenditure was essential to address marketing and communication needs

swiftly and effectively.

3. Advising users to switch test strip brands was a proactive measure to mitigate

inaccuracies and ensure user safety.

4. Collaborating with the engineering team allowed for a thorough investigation into

syncing issues, aiding in identifying the problem's scope and potential solutions.

5. Crafting an opening statement for the press conference was crucial to provide transparent

communication and reassure stakeholders of our commitment to resolving the issue.

What I have learned from this simulation

Through this simulation, I have learned the importance of prompt decision-making,

effective communication, and collaboration in addressing complex challenges. Additionally, I

gained insights into crisis management and the significance of prioritizing customer safety and

satisfaction in product development and marketing strategies.

Overall, this experience highlighted the critical role of proactive problem-solving and

transparent communication in mitigating issues and maintaining trust with stakeholders.
