Comer y hacer ejercicio
¡Hola!
levanto pesas.
mismo estoy aprendiendo tenis.
Traveling is fantastic
Hello! I´m Daniel Vega and I want to tell you about a great experience I had.
Two years ago, I had the chance to travel to The United States. I flew from
Guatemala to San Salvador and from San Salvador to Miami, Florida.
Miami is fantastic; the weather was always hot, and the beaches were
excellent. Daytona beach is incredible. My aunt lives there. So, I stayed in her
house for three weeks.
From Miami we drove to Alabama to visit my cousin who studies at Alabama
University.
Alabama is incredible. The old buildings and those old country houses made me
think of the way life was in the South in the nineteenth century, when they had
those big cotton plantations.
Alabama University is also big and old. In general, I could say that Alabama is a
conservative State.
My cousin told me that life in Tuscaloosa, the county where the university is,
was very calm; but, Birmingham, the biggest city of the state, was modern and
noisy.
When I returned to Miami, I missed the calm and peace in Alabama but I couldn
´t stop enjoying Florida.
We drove to Orlando and visited Walt Disney World, Epcot Center, Sea World,
and Bush Gardens. Each park is amazing, and I had a great time. There is fun
for everyone; Disney World reminded me of my childhood and all the dreams
and fantasies I had.
After three weeks I was exhausted, but I didn´t want to finish my vacation yet.
From Florida I flew to New York to visit my sister who lives there. I stayed at my
sister’s for two weeks and, again, I discovered a completely different world.
Since I arrived I realized that things in New York were different from Alabama
and Florida.
The traffic was crazy. I didn´t drive because I was afraid. I didn´t go to the
beach, either. But, they told me there were great beaches.
My sister took me to The Statue of Liberty; this is a landmark in New York I
really wanted to visit.
We took a ferry from Manhattan to Liberty Island.
The statue was a gift from the people of France to The United States.
We went up to the crown of the statue and the view was incredible.
When we returned to Manhattan we visited another landmark, “The Empire
State Building”. Somebody asked me to describe it and, all I could say was,
“Amazing”.
Then, The Yankees Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Rockefeller Center, Times
Square, The Brooklyn Bridge, and Central Park.
Everything is huge and beautiful. It had to be that way because New York is the
largest city in The United States.
I returned to Guatemala and I continued admiring and loving my country and
its beautiful places, weather, and people; but, I like to remember the great time
I had on my trip to The United States
