III. INTRODUCTION
Signage is important in a school to make it
easier to find and keep students, members,
or even visitors safe. There are schools
whose signage is old and cannot be read
anymore, causing confusion among
students, staff, and even visitors. The
signage project helps to be clear and inform
students, staff, and even visitors of the
place they are looking for.
We've seen signs near the entrance of San
Ramon Pilot National High School
indicating the area of where each grade
level lies and surely it had help a lot of
people find their way, however, when it
comes to the Senior High School buildings,
the signs seem to be lacking and new
enrollees and staffs have a difficult time
navigating where the different strands are
for both grade 11 and 12.
By accomplishing this project, which will
facilitate way finding, it aims to improve
accessibility and guarantee that everyone
can smoothly find their way by creating an
organized, safe, welcoming and beautiful
environment for all.
IV. BACKGROUND/RATIONALE:
Signage plays a crucial role in any school
environment. It serves as a communication
tool that provides vital information to
students, staff, and visitors. In San Ramon
Pilot National High School, the current
signage system is facing several problems
that need to be addressed.

One of the main issues with the
signage in the school is its inconsistency.
Some signage is outdated and in need of
replacement, while others lack important
information such as room numbers,
directions, and safety guidelines. This
inconsistency makes it difficult for students
and visitors to navigate the school premises
efficiently.
Furthermore, the lack of proper
labeling and organization of signage can
lead to confusion and delays, especially
during emergencies. In times of crisis, clear
and concise signage is essential for
directing individuals to safety and
providing important instructions.
Another problem with the current
signage system is its poor visibility. Some
signage is faded or obstructed by trees,
buildings, or other objects, making it
difficult to read and locate. This lack of
visibility can cause frustration and
inconvenience for students and visitors
trying to find their way around the school.
The significance of addressing
these signage problems in San Ramon Pilot
National High School cannot be overstated.
Clear and effective signage enhances the
overall safety and efficiency of the school
environment. It helps students and staff
navigate the premises with ease, promotes
a sense of order and organization, and
ensures that important information is
communicated effectively.
By improving the signage system in
the school, students, staff, and visitors will
have a better overall experience. They will
be able to find their way around the

premises more easily, access important
information quickly, and feel more
confident and secure in their surroundings.
Therefore, improvement in signage
systems at school will lead to a better
experience for the students, staff, and
visitors. They will be able to easily
navigate through the premise, receive
appropriate information promptly, and feel
safer and more confident about the place.
