Teachers for the preparation of PISA readiness to learners age 15 years old at 3:30

Oct. 3, 2024 * Meeting with the Parents of PISA PRE-TEST takers.
* Orientation of the PISA PRE-TEST takers. (15 year old - Grade 7, 8, 9 and 10 learners)
Oct. 7-11, 2024 PRE-TEST
Oct. 7-8, 2024 * Conducted PISA Mock PRE-TEST to 15 year old learners using tablets and internet
connectivity.
Oct. 10, 2024 * Analyzed Pre-Test Results of 63 takers.
Oct. 11, 2024 * Schedules of Review were planned and assigned to concerned teachers.
Oct. 14-18, 2024 ORIENTATION AND INTRODUCTION OF PISA/CAPACITATING THE TEACHERS
Oct. 14, 2024 * LAC Session at 3:30 pm. (Topic: Overview of PISA/Importance and Expectations)
Oct. 15, 2024 * LAC Session at 3:30 p.m. (Topic: Signing Up of Teachers’ Account in Khan
Academy/Video Tutorial from DepED Philippines: Classroom of the Future)
Oct. 16, 2024 * LAC Session at 3:30 p.m. (utilized PRE-TEST results to set learning baselines)
Oct. 17-18, 2024 * LAC Session at 3:30 p.m. (revisited learning competencies that were aligned to Khan
Academy activities and questions and formulated sample lesson plans incorporating

Oct. 21-25, 2024 CURRICULUM INTEGRATION WORKSHOP
* Science Teachers in collaboration with Mathematics and English Teachers developed
Lesson plans incorporating Khan Academy like competencies (ongoing).
* Created PISA-format assessment tools (ongoing).
* Teachers were preparing lessons to start the learning sessions.
Oct. 28-31, 2024 LEARNING SESSIONS
* The following learning sessions were presented to the learners integrating the Khan
Academy like competencies and used interactive exercises and quizzes: (Introduced

Physics: Study of Motion and Energy
Chemistry: Basic Chemical Reactions and Periodic Table
Biology: Ecosystems and Human Body
Nov. 4-8, 2024 LEARNING SESSIONS on DATA LITERACY and SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY
* The learners set data and interpreted graphs.
* The learners performed hands-on and practical work approach activities with guided
questions
* The learners were engaged in group projects on local environmental issues like
overfishing, improper waste disposal and lack of proper waste management.
Nov. 6, 2024 * The learners were encouraged to have a buddy system for them to have a partner in
answering PISA questions during their collaborative learning time
