Once computer finishes restarting, you'll see a window here with your physical data. Now ready
to begin setting up the Windows 10 installation.

LINUX INSTALLATION
1.(a)Identification of distribution.
Choose the Ubuntu Desktop Version 12.04 LTS (32 bit) i386 version (www.ubuntu.com) and
other products are Red Hat, Cent OS, Ubuntu and Fedora because Linux is the most popular
open source operating system, easy to use, user friendly, free no antivirus, High customization,
improved compatibility included drivers and low system requirements.

1.(b)Description of disk partitioning.

This is Ubuntu loading screen.

Select install to start the Ubuntu installation and select language.

Next is the installation phase, this installation on the got only two option in the installation type. If
the choose this option and will get Ubuntu that only has Mp3, other media, Internet browser and
basic programs. Please chose any one method.

Select the first option erase disk and install ubuntu it will delete all data on disk and will install
Ubuntu with the default partition. This is referring to an installation with is creating for partitions
and select the option Something else.

Empty hard disk on the computer, it will be displayed right under the name /dev/sda. Want to
create a new partition table by clicking New Partition Table.

Get a warning saying continue any current partitions will be deleted. Click on New Partition
Table to create empty partition. Click on Continue.

Looks like a new partition table and a device called /dev/sda and free space inside that device
that is free space for now.

By clicking the + sign below the disk space and partition table, enter the size for this partition in
MB. Type for the new partition: Primary Location for the new partition with Beginning of this
space, Ext4 journaling file system and Mount point: / to save the partition and click ok.

Select free space and click on + sign at the bottom to create partitions. Made 200MB for /boot
and click Ok.
Select the dev/sda and use Ubuntu boot loader to load all systems on the hard drive. Choose
dev/sda1 the ext4 and dev/sda5 ext4 /boot partition the created for Ubuntu, Ubuntu need to be
manually added to drive’s boot loader after installation.
Select free space and click on + sign at the bottom to create partitions. Made 2048MB swap
area and click Ok.
Select the dev/sda and use Ubuntu boot loader to load all systems on the hard drive. Choose
dev/sda1 the ext4 and dev/sda5 ext4 /boot partition the created for Ubuntu, Ubuntu need to be
manually added to drive’s boot loader after installation.
Select free space and click on + sign at the bottom to create partitions. Made 500GB for /home
and click Ok.
Select the dev/sda and use Ubuntu boot loader to load all systems on the hard drive. Choose
dev/sda5 ext4 partition the created for Ubuntu, Ubuntu need to be manually added to drive’s
boot loader after installation.

Faulty PCs

1.The steps that you followed to identify the fault.

For this faulty pc, the pc is blank when it turns on and off the power pc and plug off the adaptors
and check with tester tools. Therefore, there are many reasons causing for this monitor blank
error. First, check the power of pc, check the cables, Display & Source, check the BIOS and
recovery options, test the CPU and Ram, test the physical checks, check the graphic card.
Check the graphic card of this pc and found the error. Unfortunately, it is crashed.

2.The cause of the fault.

Finally, fount the error this pc. The main error of this faulty pc is graphic card error.

3.The steps taken to remedy the fault.

I found the graphic error of this faulty pc. To solve the problem, First clean the graphic card slot
with cleaner tools. And then replace the old graphic card to new graphic card. Try to turn on
after changing. Finally, no error on this graphic card.

4.The success or failure of the repair.

The new graphic card installation is successfully repaired. To see whether the graphic card is
successfully installed. First, open the Pc and when the window logo comes up without waiting
longs and also if the blue screen error is gone. Then the new graphic card is successfully
installed.
