Celebration
Proposed Theme : Contributing to the
African Economic Integration Agenda through
Insurance
Introduction
Today, in the African insurance industry, Africa Re is regarded as
the “Big Brother”. From outside the continent, competitors
continued to marvel at the corporation’s steady growth year on
year, despite the mountains of challenges related to our local
realities.
This is half a century that the vision of insurance pan-africanisme
has taken shape in an entity called Africa Re. Time to look back to
recognize the past, to celebrate the achievement and to poise for
the future.
A befitted celebration is necessary to do justice to the journey so
far. and it needs to be tied to a project ( preferably a CSR
project ).
For this celebration to echo in the relevant African political and
economic decision circles an effective communication plan
needs to be put in place in order to :
  - Build excitement even before the anniversary celebration in
    the relevant stakeholders (Heads of States and
    governments, old and present industry captains, ministers,
    regulators, community leaders, etc)
  - Contribute to a lasting memory of the celebration even
    years after.
