PROJECT MANAGEMENT
JOURNAL CRITIQUE
In this task assessment, you will be research a published journal article which examines the assigned
topics of the subject. You will be required to summarize key information relevant to this course and to
critically assess the published journal. Write a 4-5 pages critical analysis of a journal scientific paper. The
journal articles critiques are short exercises designed to help you evaluate the primary literature your
subject. The format for the critique that you will write is given below. You will also be required to submit
a photocopy of the article that you critique.
*Your task is to find a reliable online published journal that is related to your assigned topics per group.
This activity will be integrated in your reportorial activity, and recorded both in oral recitation and
research work. The softcopy output is a must to submit via Google drive (Link will be send soon).
Format
Use a standard 12-point font such as Arial. On the top of the first page indicate your name/s, course,
subject name and code number, journal name, title of the article, and author(s) with matric numbers.
This part must be single-spaced. The summary and evaluation must be 1.5 spaced. You may refer to the
author(s) in your summary, but do not repeat the name of the journal or the title of the article. If you
use a quotation, include only the page number in parentheses. Hereunder as follows:
1. Title page
2. Name(s) of the author(s).
3. Title of article.
4. Title of journal, volume number, date, month and page numbers.
5. Discuss the problematic issue and research gap based on the study.
6. Specify the Implications of the study.
7. Determine the following
7.1 Author’s purpose,
7.2 Statement of the problem or research objectives
7.2 Theory, or business model
7.3 Research methods, such as:
a. Respondents, b. Research Sampling techniques,
c. Research Instruments, and d. Research Design
7.4 hypothesis,
7.5 Results of the study based on the Research objectives.
8. Identify the conclusion and recommendation in relevance to the given problem of the study.
9. How the author succeeded/ failed to convince the reader on the importance and urgency of the
study?
10. Specify and explain the following:
a. Business implication
b. Business practices
c. Solution to the identified problematic issue.
11. References
12. Appendix (Attach the published journal and links)
