NOTICE FOR DECENTRALIZED ADMISSION IN THE 1st YEAR OF B. TECH COURSES AGAINST VACANCY 2024

In terms of G.O. No. 413-Edn(T)/10M-86/15 dated 12.09.2024 of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of
West Bengal, notice is hereby given for decentralized admission in the 1st year of B. Tech courses against
vacant seats remaining after E-counselling process 2024.

Eligibility:
a. Participating candidates must be domiciled in West Bengal.
b. Participating candidates besides fulfilling all the eligibility criteria and the terms and conditions as
stipulated by the WBJEEB in respect of the examinations “WBJEE-2024” and other regulatory
authorities for admission to any such technical courses, must have obtained a valid merit rank i.e.
GMR in the WBJEE-2024. Admission will be based on WBJEE 2024 Merit Rank Only.
c. Allotment shall be made strictly on the basis of general merit and preference of a candidate.

Application Process:

 Eligible and interested candidates may apply through online link given below on or before
23.09.2024; 1:00 pm (applications will be closed after this date and time).
 Candidates need to upload WBJEE-2024 rank card, along with online application. If any applicant
does not upload proper WBJEE- 2024 rank card, the application may get rejected.
 Applications received after due date shall not be considered. No other means of submission shall
be considered.

A Merit list based strictly in order of merit (General Merit Rank) will be published in college website on
24.09.2024 (tentatively). Candidates will be called from merit list as per GMR and reservation category for
counselling and admission on 26.09.2024 (tentatively). Candidates must follow college websites for future
notices. Candidates will be able to exercise their choice of stream during counselling.

Candidates will be called for counselling and admission based on number of vacancies and applications
received.

Further details will be available with the merit list.

During admission if it is found that there is any discrepancy in information / data between the application
form and the original documents, the candidature will be cancelled. Online application alone will not
ensure eligibility for admission.
