TEST PLAN TEMPLATE

I. Overview:

A. Goal: The goal of this unmoderated usability study is to observe how AstroCoffee customers
naturally use and navigate the new workspace reservation feature in the mobile app. This will
help identify any usability issues and understand how users interact with key aspects of the
product.

B. Key Questions:

1. Are users able to successfully complete a workspace reservation using the app?
2. How intuitive is the navigation and overall user flow of the reservation process?
3. What obstacles or challenges do users encounter while using the feature?
4. What additional features or improvements do users suggest?

II. Test Plan:

A. Participants:

• Number: 15 participants
• Profile: Regular AstroCoffee customers who frequently visit cafes and use mobile apps
for reservations.

B. Introduction: Welcome and thank you for participating in this usability study. We are testing
a new feature in the AstroCoffee mobile app that allows you to reserve a workspace at our cafes.
Your feedback is crucial to help us improve this feature. This test should take approximately 15
minutes. Please complete the tasks as naturally as you would if you were using the app on your
own.

C. Background Questions:

1. How often do you visit AstroCoffee cafes?


2. Have you ever used a mobile app to make reservations before?
3. How comfortable are you with using mobile apps for similar tasks?

D. Instructions:

1. Open the AstroCoffee mobile app and navigate to the workspace reservation feature.
2. Reserve an individual workspace for tomorrow at 10 AM.
3. Reserve a group workspace for three people next Friday at 2 PM.
4. Modify the reservation for the individual workspace to 11 AM.
5. Cancel the group workspace reservation.
6. Provide any additional feedback on your experience using the feature.

III. Post-Study Questions

1. How easy or difficult was it to navigate the workspace reservation feature?


2. Were there any steps that were confusing or unclear?
3. Did you encounter any technical issues while using the app?
4. What features or improvements would you suggest?
5. How likely are you to use this feature in the future?
