IV. PROCEDURES
A. Introduction
-The teacher will explain that it is fundamental that students
learn to recognize how speakers and writers come up with
strategies in sending their intended messages. Observing
details on how they present facts and opinions will be beneficial
on the part of the students to develop their own style in writing
and speaking.
-Learners will read a dialogue. Then, they will analyze how the
characters express their opinions by answering subsequent
questions.
B. Development
-Learners will do Learning Tasks 1 and 2 on p. 26.
-An interactive discussion on the lesson “COMPARING AND
CONTRASING OPINIONS” (pp. 26-28) shall be done with the
teacher explaining the grammatical markers in comparing and
contrasting including different persuasive techniques while the
learners will be providing examples of their own.
-A video lesson may be shown to the students as a supplement
to the discussion.
C. Engagement
-Learners will do Learning Task 3 p. 28.
-Learners will do Learning Tasks 4 & 5 p. 29.
D. Assimilation
-Learners will do Learning Task 6 on p. 30.
