SUBJECT : 1st Progress Report re Poisoning Incident that Resulted to
the
Death of Michael Capalungan Galanza
DATE : February 7, 2024
1. References:
a. Blotter Entries 2024-0034 and 2024- 0035 dated February 6, 2024;
b. IRF Number: 2024-03-0034;
c. Memo from this station dated February 6, 2024, with subject as stated
above; and
2. The above references pertains to the poisoning incident was happened at
about 1:30 AM, February 06, 2024, in Purok 5 Regta, Brgy. 20 Pulangi, Bacarra, Ilocos
Norte, victim Michael Capalungan Galanza, 28 years old was poisoned by suspect
Jonel Rablador Galanza, 62 years old both residents of said place.
3. Investigation disclosed that the victim was eating when the suspect got home
and was drunk, put a poison on the water of his son.The victim suffer a symptoms which
include changes in consciousness, body temperature, heart rate, and breathing that
cause him instantaneous death (DOS) while the suspect immediately escaped after he
put the poison.
4. That on 11:30 A.M., February 6, 2024, in Brgy.20 Pulangi, Bacarra, Ilocos
Norte, Investigators were able to get the Sworn Statement of Lokadia Agcaracar, an
identified witness, while the cadaver of the victim is currently at the PNP Crime
Laboratory, Brgy. 23, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, for Autopsy Examination to determine
the cause of death of the victim.
5. Request that this station will be given enough time to investigate this poisoning
incident in order to develop a strong case against the subject.
6. Progress report will follow.
