Information in this document applies to any platform.

PURPOSE

Below Shows the FREE_MB requirement for different redundancy level of OCRVOTE disk-group before the actual
addition of any OCR, votefile and GIMR.

DETAILS

External Redundancy

Grid Infrastructure Management Repository = 1 X (5.2 GB ) = 5.2 plus 500 MB for each node for clusters greater
than four nodes.

1 OCR (1 x 400 MB ) = 0.4 GB

1 voting files ( 1 X 300 MB ) = 0.3 GB

FREE_MB required before adding OCR, votefile, GIMR = 5.9 GB or higher

If number of nodes are less than 5 in your cluster , 6GB of FREE_MB is sufficient for external redundancy

Normal Redundancy

Grid Infrastructure Management Repository = 2 x (5.2 GB ) GB = 12.4 GB plus 500 MB for each node for clusters

2 OCRs (2 x 400 MB) = 0.8 GB

3 voting files (3 x 300 MB) = 0.9 GB

If number of nodes are less than 5 , 15GB of FREE_MB is sufficient for normal redundancy

High Redundancy

Grid Infrastructure Management Repository = 3 x (5.2 GB ) GB = 15.6 GB plus 500 MB for each node for clusters
greater than four nodes.

3 OCRs (3 x 400 MB) = 1.2 GB

5 voting files (5 x 300 MB) = 1.5 GB

FREE_MB required before adding OCR, votefile, GIMR = 18.3 GB or higher

If number of nodes are less than 5, 19GB of FREE_MB is sufficient for High redundancy
