AND GATE
The AND gate is a basic digital logic gate that implements logical
conjunction from mathematical logic–A HIGH output results only if all the
inputs to the AND gate are HIGH. If none or not all inputs to the AND gate are
HIGH, LOW output results.
(A) When both output is “LOW” so output is also “LOW”.
(B)When one output is “High” but another output is “Low”, the output will
also be “LOW”.
(C)If one output is “Low” and other is “High”, the output is also is “LOW”.
(D)When both is “HIGH”, the output will also be “HIGH”.
OR GATE
It is a basic digital logic gate that implements logical conjunction from
mathematical [Link] this gate if both the input are “HIGH” or anyone is
“HIGH”, then the output is also “HIGH”.But if the both is “LOW” the ouput is
also “LOW”.
(A)When both input is “LOW”, then output is “LOW”.
(B)When one input is “HIGH”&another is“LOW,then the output is also
“HIGH”.
(C)When Both Input is “HIGH”, so output will also be”HIGH”.
(D)When one intput is “LOW”,but another input is “HIGH”, then output will be
“HIGH”.
NOT GATE
The NOT gate is a basic digital logic gate that implements logical
conjunction from mathematical logic–If the intput is HIGH then the output is
LOW, but if input is LOW then output is HIGH.
(A)As input is “HIGH” so the output is “LOW”.
(B) As input is “LOW” so the output is “HIGH”.
NAND GATE
The NAND gate is a basic digital logic gate that implements logical
conjunction from mathematical logic–A HIGH output results if both or the one
inputs to the NAND gate are LOW. If both inputs are HIGH, LOW output
results.
(A)One input is “LOW”, another is “HIGH”, so the output is also”HIGH”.
(B)When both input is “LOW”,so the output is also “HIGH”.
(C)When one input is “HIGH”& other is “LOW”,so the output is also “HIGH”.
(D)When both inputs are “HIGH”,then the output is “LOW”.
NOR GATE
The NOR gate is a basic digital logic gate that implements logical
conjunction from mathematical logic–IF both input is “LOW” then the output
is “HIGH”.But if both input is “HIGH” or one input is “HIGH”,output will “LOW”
(A)When one inpu is “LOW”,another is “HIGH”, so the output is “LOW”.
(B)When both input is “HIGH”, output will be “LOW”.
(C)When both input is “LOW”,output will be “HIGH”.
(D)When one input is “HIGH” and other is “LOW”, so output is “LOW”.
XOR GATE
The XOR gate is a basic digital logic gate that implements logical
conjunction from mathematical logic–If both the input are same(Like a=HIGH
,b=HIGH or a=LOW,b=LOW) then output is LOW,But if both input are
different then output will be “HIGH”.
(A)When both input is different, output is “HIGH”.
(B)When both input is “LOW”,output will be “LOW”.
(C)When both input is different, output is “HIGH”.
(D)When both inputs are same, output is “LOW”.
Concept used:
A logic gate is a device that acts as a building block for digital circuits. They
perform basic logical functions that are fundamental to digital circuits. Most
electronic devices we use today will have some form of logic gates in them.
For example, logic gates can be used in technologies such as smartphones,
tablets or within memory devices.
In a circuit, logic gates will make decisions based on a combination of digital
signals coming from its inputs. Most logic gates have two inputs and one
output. Logic gates are based on Boolean algebra. At any given moment,
every terminal is in one of the two binaryconditions, false or true. False
represents 0, and true represents 1. Depending on the type of logic gate
being used and the combination of inputs, the binary output will differ. A
logic gate can be thought of like a light switch, wherein one position the
output is off -- 0, and in another, it is on -- 1. Logic gates are commonly
used in integrated circuits (IC).
Binary logic deals with binary variables and with operations that assume a
logical meaning. It is usedto describe, in algebraic or tabular form, the
manipulation is done by logic circuits called gates. Gatesare blocks of
hardware that produce graphic symbol and its operation can be described
by means ofan algebraic expression. The input-output relationship of the
binary variables for each gate can berepresented in tabular form by a truth-
table. Digital logic gates may have more than one input, (A, B,C, etc.) but
generally only have one digital output, (Q). Individual logic gates can be
connectedtogether to form combinational or sequential circuits or larger
logic gate functions.
Learning/ observation:
LOGIC GATES are used to make decisions so that electrical outputs only “turn
on” when the correct logic sequence has been applied.
Troubleshooting:
The problems encountered during this experiment was that many oftimes the
LED & LOGIC GATE was getting damage due to high voltage current,so in
order toresolve the problem we used resistance to avoid the damage to LED &
LOGIC GATE & also bylowering the voltage of current.
THE LED AND LOGIC GATE IS DAMAGE
THE RESISTANCE AVOIDED THE DAMAGE
