AIM

ØTo develop a home protection

and family safety are the
primary purposes of a home
security system.

ØHome security system that

utilizes the sensor as a human
motion detector.
Existing system

• Past home security and their patterns was using wooden pin tumbler with lock

and key mechanism.

• CC-Camera are to monitor public activity by recording Footage for instant

operations.

• Locks can stop someone from entering your home

Existing System Disadvantages

ØIt doesn’t give quick response.

ØLimited accuracy.

ØIt can’t stop theft.

ØEnable to identify the operations

ØFalse alarms cause Stress: False alarms from these systems can lead to
unnecessary stress and panic, disrupting your peace of mind.
Proposed System
ØTo overcome the past surveillance systems and to enhance the security, adaptability.

ØThe intrusion is detected using PIR motion sensor and is activated as soon as a motion is
detected.

ØThe objective of our system is to make a smart surveillance system.

ØWhich can provide caution to the owner remotely by means of notification.

ØTrigger video recording via the camera module.

ØA notification is sent via an email on his phone for the owner to see who is inside his room.

Working principle of proposed system

ØSmart surveillance system for enhanced security with remote notification.

Ø Email alerts sent to owner's smartphone upon intrusion detection.

ØVideo recording triggered with face matching capability.

Ø Camera activated for short durations upon intrusion, enhancing efficiency.

Proposed System Advantages

ØESP-32 cam and mail can be effective and cost-efficient solution to safe guard your
home.

ØCompact and flexibility.

ØIt is easy to handle.

ØIt gives quick response.

ØMotion detection.
Required Tools:
Hardware components: To build this project we will require
Ø 1.Arduino uno.
Ø 2.ESP32-CAM.
Ø 3.Object detecting sensor.
Ø 4.Door lock(Servo motor).
Ø 5.Buzzer.
Ø 6.Regulated power supply.

ØSoftware components:
Ø 1.Arduino IDE.
Ø 2.Telnet mobile app.
Ø 3.SMTP Protocol.
Arduino uno
Ø Arduino Uno is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P
chip.

Ø 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs).

Ø 6 analog inputs.

Ø 16 MHz quartz crystal.

Ø Arduino Uno operates at 5 volts.

Ø USB connection for programming and power.

Ø Arduino Uno is programmed using the Arduino Integrated

Development Environment (IDE), which is based on a simplified
version of C++.
POWER SUPPLY

Ø In this project we have power supplies with +5V & -

5V option normally +5V is enough for total circuit.
Another (-5V) supply is used incase of OP amp
circuit.
Ø Transformer primary side has 230/50HZ AC voltage
whereas at the secondary winding the voltage is
stepdowned to 12/50 Hz and this voltage is rectified
using two full wave rectifiers the rectified output is
given to a filter circuit to fitter the unwanted ac in
the signal. After that the output is again applied to a
regulator LM7805 (toprovide+5v) regulator.
Whereas LM7905 is for providing –5V regulation.
ESP32-CAM

Ø The ESP32-CAM is a development board with an ESP32-S chip,

an OV2640 camera, microSD card slot and several GPIOs to
connect peripherals. It allows you to set up a video streaming
web server, build a surveillance camera, take photos, face
recognition and detection, and much more.
OBJECT DETECTING SENSOR
ØObject sensor that Passive Infrared
Sensor, passive word indicates Object Sensor
does not generate or radiate any energy for
detection purposes.
ØObject Sensors don't detect or measure
"HEAT"; they detect the infrared radiation
emitted or reflected from objects.
ØThey are small, inexpensive, low power and
easy to use. They are commonly found at
home, medical, factories etc. areas.
SERVO MOTOR

Ø A DC motor is an electric motor that runs on direct current

power. In any electric motor, operation is dependent upon
simple electromagnetism. A current carrying conductor
generates a magnetic field, when this is then placed in an
external magnetic field, it will encounter a force proportional
to the current in the conductor and to the strength of the
external magnetic field. It is a device which converts electrical
energy to mechanical energy. It works on the fact that a current
carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field experiences a
force which causes it to rotate with respect to its original
position.
BUZZER

ØBuzzer is usually like an alarm. Whenever we

press the switch button it gives an output like
an alarm sound and then a c t i vate s t he
machine. Buzzer contains of two pins. The
negative end is connected to the data pin of
microcontroller. The positive end is connected
to the Vcc in the microcontroller.
APPLICATIONS

Ø Surveillance: Monitoring your property with cameras, providing real-time footage and alerts.

Ø Intrusion Detection:Sensors on doors and windows detect unauthorized entry.

Ø Alarm Systems:Sound alarms and alert authorities in case of a break-in or emergency.

Ø Remote Access: Control and monitor your system from anywhere via smartphone apps.

Ø Home Automation Integration: Integrate with smart home devices for added convenience and

security, like turning on lights or locking doors remotely.

Conclusion
Ø Home security system using ESP32CAM and SMTP would typically highlight the effectiveness of the system

in providing real-time surveillance and notifications to the user's email. It would emphasize how the

integration of ESP32CAM allows for video monitoring and motion detection, while SMTP facilitates the

sending of email alerts when suspicious activity is detected.

Future scope

Ø Using ESP32CAM and SMTP for home security systems offers a promising future. With
advancements in technology, you could integrate features like facial recognition, motion detection,
and live streaming to enhance security.

Ø Additionally, incorporating machine learning algorithms could improve the system's ability to
detect and respond to potential threats more accurately.

Ø Moreover, integrating with smart home ecosystems could offer users seamless control and
monitoring options, making it an indispensable part of modern home security solutions.
