1.0 MV SWITCHGEAR & POWER PANELS:


1.1 Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of cubicle type panels
as specified and shown on drawing. The boards shall be designed and
fabricated as per general specifications, technical details,
specifications and notes as part of this tender /BOQ and relevant BIS
codes. Also, refer to General Notes and Specifications for
Panels/Boards.
GENERAL NOTES FOR ACB's & MCCB's:
a. ACB's & MCCB's shall be of 3P or 4P as called for in the BOQ.
b. Ics = Icu = 100% for the MCCB's, MPCB's & ACB's
c. MCCB's shall be with extended rotary handle.
d. Exact rating (Amps), Poles, Type/Duty, Short circuit rating of MCCB is to
be selected by the contractor as per load, fault and requirement
and
e. Protection relay testing & tripping relay coordination is in vendor's
scope.

Notes:
i Main Aluminium busbars as specified in the drawings with bar type
feeder connections & all internal wiring (with FRLS wires) and
connections.
ii Earthing all components,frame etc. to a common internal earth bar.

iii Painting all sheet metal works.


iv All accessories & supporting structure.
v Brass glands and crimping lugs for sending and receiving ends.
vi All ammeters with C.T's and voltmeter and energy meters with
necessary fuses as shown and as required.The accuracy class of all CTs in
the MLTP panel -1& 2 shall be of 0.2s.
vii All Load Managers, Power Monitors to have parameters like KW, KVA, A,
V,KWhr,Hz,PF,KVAR, Active & Reactive component of power, RS 485
port to have BMS compatibility as required & desired to complete the
system.
viii Panel components as specified.
ix MS base frame with finish as per specification.
x All switch gear to have short circuit levels as specified.
xi All Switchgear selections shall be as per manufacturer's
recommendation.
xii Contractor to submit manufacturer's selection charts for approval.

xiii Only one make of switchgear to be used in a board /panel. The


switchgear selection shall be as per manufacturer's coordination tables.
Type-2 coordination to be achieved as a minimum.
xiv All communicable meters should be looped inside the panels and this
loop has to be brought to one terminal point in the panel for
connectivity.
xv No BMS cable should be directly connected to VFD and hence these
points will have to brought on to the terminal blocks inside the panel.

xvi All energy meters shall be dual source and communicable type. "LOAD
MANAGER ACC-CL-0.2 (MODEL-EN8400+PORT (DS) CL-0.2ACC)"

xvii EMC & RFI FILTRATION FOR VFD's.


VFD’s for sensitive installations where life critical data communications
are of importance ,like Hospitals, Airports, Electronic Industry, Data
centres, Communication centres.
These installations Must have ‘C1’ category of RFI & EMC filters for 50
meters of cable length. These are applicable to all the VFD’s of AHU’s,
fans, blowers, pumps and cooling towers.
For these above mentioned critical applications, if chiller motors and
pump motors are more than 90Kw, then ‘C2’ category of filters to be
used if ‘ C1’ is not available.
VFD’s for normal buildings and others similar installations shall have
‘C3’ category of RFI & EMC filter for AHU’s , fans, blowers, pumps,
xviii THDI for VFD's between 35% and 40% .
xix All VFD's shall be IP-20, if installed inside the panels and shall be IP55 if
installed without enclosure.
xx Incomer switchgear, bus bars, supports and outgoing switchgear shall be
of same fault level withstand capacity as mentioned for the panel.

xxi All starter feeder / VFD feeder in panels means complete with starter &
VFD as the case may be as per specifications.
xxii Use separate PLC's for Load management and separate for interlocking
of breakers and bus couplers and closing of bus couplers.

xxiii Fire Suppression System provision to be made in the desired


panels all panels as mentioned in the SLD, during panel
manufacturing.
xxiv All ACB body earthing to provided.
xxv APFC panel - MLTP Terminal to cut off APFC power while power
feed from DG source.
xxvi Door locks Zinc alloy powder painted with provision for
pad
xxvii locking. insulation: Black heat shrinkable, fire retardant, self
Busbar
extinguishing type sleeves suitable to withstand 110 degree
celcius.
xxviii Completely modular & compartmentalized, form 3B separation.
Separate adequately spaced Unit Chamber, Bus bar & cable
compartments.
xxix Gland earthing provision to be given in the panel.
All MCCBs up to 200A shall be therma magnetic without earth fault.
Rating>/= 250A shall be microprocessor based without Earth
fault.=OK but whenever specifed in sld seprate E/F reqd
xxiii GENERAL NOTES FOR TRANSIENT VOLTAGE SURGE SUPPRESSOR
(TVSS):
a. Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS) shall be mounted out side
the panel / switch board in a sheet steel enclosure.
b. It shall be suitable for handling required (specified) surge handling
capacity, shall be 10 modes protection with noise filters. (EMI & RFI) and
with inbuilt back up fuse protection.
c. Surge suppressor shall be complete with isolating / protective device in
the form of MCB / MCCB of KA rating (breaking capacity) as of switch
board.
All panels shall be as per IEC-61439 Standard.
All equipment nomencluture as per BSC standard ( two coat of
yellow paint+Black letter)
Considered TP+100%NL for MCCB's & ACB's wherever TPN MCCB/ACB is
mentioned in SLD.

2.0 CONTROL CABLES & CABLE TRAYS:

The rate shall also include the following:


i Effecting adequate and proper connections at terminations.
ii Providing all fixing accessories such as clamping devices nuts, bolts and
screws.
iii Excavation for laying of cables, filling of sand, brick protection, back
filling of earth, watering, ramming and making good as approved in
directly ground burry.
iv Wherever the cables are of aluminum and bus bars of copper bimetallic
lugs shall be used.
v All cable shall be laid with one diameter gap or as specified or as called
for.
vi All cable shall be IS approved.
vii Fire retardent paint one meter on both side of wall penetration and at
termination as per specifications.
viii Burried LT cables to be laid atleast 750mm below ground.
ix All cutouts / sleeves shall be sealed with fire retardant sealent as
approved.
x Leave sufficient cable loops at both the cable ends.
xi Use Tinned copper thimbles/lugs with copper cables/copper wires.

xii Nylon cable tie is not acceptable, matelic cable tie/clamp to be consider
for cable laying.
Making necessary cutout/hole's in wall is in vendor scope
2.1 Supply, laying, testing and commissioning of the following sizes of 1.1

2.3 Supply, fabrication and installation of Hot dip galvanised factory built
perforated type cable trays complete with all bends, tees, elbows,
reducers, supports & fixing arrangement etc. of various widths in single
tier/two tier/ three tier/ five tier fashion either on one side of the wall
or on two sides of the wall or ceiling/wall/floor. (All bends & tees shall
be of factory built of same make as that of tray). Cable tray supports
are supposed to be included in the rate of the trays. Nothing extra to be
paid for cable tray supports. Cable trays and supports shall be as per
specifications. Cable tray supports shall also be MS for indoor
installation & GI for outdoor installation Hot dip galvanised. Use
modular factory fabricated cable tray supporting system as per
specifications. Contractor to be responsible for the design and execution
of a failsafe cable supporting system.
Cable tray supports shall be included in cost of cable tray. Support to be 0
considered as MS for indoor installation & GI for outdoor installation.

Since there is discrepancy between thickness of tray mentioned in 0


specification & BOQ description, so the thickness of tray shall be 2mm
for 600mm and below sizes and 2.5mm for 750mm & above sizes.

4.0 SUPPLY & INSTALLATION OF BUS DUCT:

4.1 BUS DUCT - INDOOR (AT CEILING LEVEL) IP:55, 50kA


Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of Sandwich
Busway
1100 volts system Busduct with cooling Fins, 4bar - 3P & 1N,
aluminum conductor with body / enclosure acting as earth, as per
specifications, suitable for 3ph 4wire 50HZ, 50 KA short circuit fault
withstand capacity for 1 Sec. The Busway shall have a system of single
bolt double head section jointing system. The bus duct suspension
system shall be complete with steel rods, GI angle supports and dash
fasteners etc. at required intervals for safe installation of bus ducts.
Supporting system shall be fail proof even in earth quake situations, as
per Sesmic requirement at site.
Necessary flexible joints to be provided for building expansion joints and
for thermal expansion as may be required.
Insulation Class- class F can withstand a maximum temperature of 155
deg C, whereas class B can withstand a maximum temperature of 130
deg C. So Class F is a superior insulation over class B and bus duct life
will be longer. But class B may also be considered as per IEC 61439-6
temp rise clause
Steel supports used for installation of bus ducts shall be measured
separately under kg item.
Cost to include in straight run of bus duct for 2runs of 50 x 6 GI earthing
strips.
The Rising main shall be measured on the center line which includes 2
runs of earting strips.

5.0 TRANSFORMERS:
5.1 Loading, unloading alongwith Mathadi charges and shifting to
transformer room, Installation, testing & commissioning of of
22KV/0.433 KV, 2000kVA continuous duty cycle, 22kV/433V, 3 phase,
50Hz, Dyn-11 vector group, step down, indoor type, copper strip wound,
dry type - Resin Casted transformer complete with vacuum type OLTC,
RTCC & AVR and with all accessories, including winding temperature
scanner with alarm and trip contact, fittings and conforming to
specifications. Tap changing range shall be +15% to -15% in steps of
2.5%. Transformer shall have cable box for 22kV XPLE cable on HT side
& LV Busduct box on 433V voltage side. One set of 22KV surge
suppressor at 22KV and one set of 433V surge suppressor at 433V side.
Control wiring for from trafo. to RTCC and AVR shall be included in the
cost. Transformer shall meet latest ECBC code of India on NO LOAD &
ON LOAD power losses. Transformer to be as per technical specifications
and any deviation to be submitted with quotation. All the tools, tackles
and Machineries shall be part of vendor scope.

6.1 CONSUMER HT PANEL


'22KV/750 MVA, Motorised HT Breaker
Seven Panel, (Two incomers & five outgoings) RMU Type consisting of
22KV SF-6 Gas Insulated vacuum circuit breaker for 'incomers and
outgoings complete. Motorised Spring charging Mechanism shall be 24V
DC, closing & trip coil shall be 24V DC.
Each Incomer & Outgoing module shall be with 230V/24V DC power
pack.

Each Incomer & Outgoing module shall be with suitable dual core cast
resin CT's for metering & protection, IDMT relay & digital ammeter. CT's
shall be of suitable class & burden.
HT Switchgears in 'Stainless Steel Tank of SS 304 Grade, Thickness 2.5
mm with robotic welding (Prototype inspection), 'Bushing shall site
