• Create New Case
• Properties Environment → Component Lists → Add → HYSYS
• Add Methane and Water (H2O)
• Go to Fluid Packages → Add HYSYS
• Choose Peng Robinson
• Go to Simulation Environment

• Go to Process tab
• Note that all process data are
copied from HYSYS.
• We can add margin in term of
Flowrate multiplier or heat
exchanged multiplier.
• We can define fouling
resistance as appropriate
• Click Size
• EDR perform iteration for
finding optimum S&T HE

• Click Under Rigorous Shell &

• Sometimes we want to have a faster simulation (with larger, more
complex flowsheet)
• We want to revert back the simulation to simple HE with UA
specification from the EDR file.
