As per Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act (2019), the National Eligibility Cum

Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 is to be conducted as a common/uniform Entrance Examination for
admission to all Undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions in the country. NEET
(UG) - 2024 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on 05 May 2024 (Sunday) from 02:00
pm 05:20 pm in more than 554 cities across the country and overseas
2. The National Testing Agency is going to conduct National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG
2024 on 05 May 2024 in Pen & Paper mode (offline).
3. I am pleased to inform you that, you have been appointed as an Observer to ensure smooth and fair
conduct of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024. The details of Examination
Centre, Centre Head and City Coordinator would be made available on NTA Test Admin Dashboard

4. Observers are NTA representatives entrusted with the responsibility to monitor all aspects of the
conduct of examination at the Centre andensure that the examinations are conducted in a punctual,
fair and transparent manner at the examination Centres, thus enhancing the general credibility of
the NTA examination system. At the same time, the Observer needs to ensure that guidelines, safety
measures and social distancing norms are being followed religiously.
5. In order to perform their duties effectively, Observers are requested to download and read carefully

ii.To establish communication with City Coordinator (CC), share the consent and confirm the venue
and schedule of briefing.
iii.To attend online orientation by NTA/City Coordinator.
iv.To attend the briefing/meeting convened in morning, one day prior to the conduct of examination at
the place of City Coordinator or on a suitable venue decided by the City Coordinator.
On Examination Day:
I. Observer must reach at the Custodian Place at the agreed time fixed by City Coordinator (CC), with
Centre Superintendent (CS) to receive the exam related confidential material. Please do not forget to
carry your duty letter, a valid Govt ID and 2 photographs.
II. You are requested to ensure no stoppage or delay of vehicle carrying the confidential material.
III. At the time of entry, Observers would monitor and validate that
IV. While the examination is in process, Observers would inspect the Examination Centre and halls/rooms
following social distancing norms and safety measures, observe and verify that -
a) The seating arrangement is as per the seating plan shared by NTA as per the social
distancing norms, comfortable for candidates, and rules out the possibility of any
malpractice.
b) Invigilators and all examination related functionaries deputed at the Centre are active
and vigilant.
c) No candidate or any person at the Centre is engaged in any kind of Unfair Means or
Malpractice related to the examination.
d) Any electronic device like photocopier, fax machine, mobile phones or any electronic
gadget is NOT being used at the examination centre during the course of the examination
by anybody on duty.
e) Candidates are guided appropriately to follow social distancing norms.
V. Observers must counter verify and validate all examination practices with Centre Superintendent,
count OMR Sheets, and observe packaging with extra vigilance and care.
VI. In case of any major risk and exceptions, they must inform NTA Control Room, as applicable on given
contact numbers immediately.
Post Examination:
(i) Submit report /online feedback on the Test Admin Dashboard.
(ii) It is mandatory for Observers to mark the attendance (on dashboard) and submit the Report.
(iii) Send the original copy of all payment-related proforma like honorarium proforma, local
conveyance/Outstation proforma, any other if applicable to NTA through registered post or
courier addressed to
