Aflux 42 M
Function Dispersing agent and lubricant for compounds based on all synthetic rubbers, particularly
SBR, NBR, CR and EPDM.
Product description
Composition: Anhydrous mixture of fatty alcohols and fatty acid esters with selected molecular
weight distribution
Appearance: Light-brown to brown pellets
Density, 20 °C: Approx. 900 kg/m3
Solidification point: 85 ±5 °C

Use
Mode of action: Aflux® 42 M is an excellent dispersant of fillers and chemicals. It increases the
plasticity of the green compound and improves flow properties. Aflux® 42 M increases
injection capacity and injection speed in the manufacture of profiles and gives a
smooth surface finish to injection moldings and calendered sheets. Aflux® 42 M has
almost no effect on vulcanization characteristics.
Processing: Aflux® 42 M can be incorporated both on the open mill and in the internal mixer. It is
recommended to add it together with the fillers.
Dosage: In general: 2-5 phr, in NBR: 2-4 phr.
Applications: For all rubbers including EPDM and CR. For technical molded and injected articles of
all types, footwear. For continuous vulcanisation processes (LCM, UHF) and injection
molding.
Packaging 20 kg paper bag on 1000 kg skid.
Storage Life/Conditions In original closed containers under cool and dry conditions three years.
